This figure is really amazing. It is posable, accurate, and feels strong so it won't break. It also looks great next to my Carnotaurus from the Hammond collection!

Beautiful figure, some flaws!

This Allosaurus is practically infamous for its minor paint flaw seen on a majority of the figures, as most don't have the blue airbrushed paint seen across the back leading down to (the dinosaur's) right shoulder. Most have a tan gap towards the shoulder (4th and 5th pictures) as mine did, but this error is usually facing the box window, so you can look for this whenever you set out to buy one. For this reason, I wouldn't necessarily recommend buying online, unless you're perfectly fine without it looking as advertised. Although this figure is a slight downgrade from the releases of the Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus, it still manages to pull itself together fairly well with nice sculpting and attention to detail on the head and facial features, with small rubber teeth to accompany a fierce look. Its maw isn't like most free-range unlatching positions, as it has a few lock-in-place positions when opening and closing its mouth. This can sometimes be a burden for picture-taking freaks like me who want an unnecessarily specific jaw pose for one picture. It still has just as great photo opportunities as the many other Hammond Collection releases, yet, I wouldn't trust this figure in the hands of an eight year old because of my experience with it- it's fallen off a few shelves due to awry balancing and has chipped its paint slightly on the horns and muzzle, luckily its body is very sturdy. Because this specific Allosaurus's body is on the skinnier side, it tends to have an awkward time standing upright in some positions, even when in a neutral position. Even and smooth surfaces tend to not be its favorite, I've had many cases where its feet slide over and it simply falls to the side as if it's too tired to stand anymore. This may be the case of the long tail, as well, its rubber tail is just a bit longer than its overall body. However, the negatives absolutely don't outweigh the positives here unless perfectionists come across this one! This dinosaur is absolutely a great keep for any Allosaurus enthusiasts, regardless, and it's a great vibrant addition to any dinosaur collection!

One posability issue and one paint defect, but otherwise perfect

The figure is awesome, everything I could ever want from a toy of my favorite dinosaur, but there are just a few small issues with the design of the figure and my specific one. Firstly, the knees do not bend back far enough to animate a proper walk cycle. Also, the wired tail has a tendency to curve upwards when I try to curve it in any other direction; it just rotates to perk up for some reason. Lastly, and this is a problem a lot of other people have had with this figure, the blue paint on the back doesn't quite make it down to its shoulders like it's supposed to. These are just small issues that barely hinder the figures quality, but they are worth mentioning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First words out of my sons mouth was "whoa that's so cool!", and yes, cool it is indeed. Tons of moving parts, great addition to our Jurassic World collection. One of the more ferocious looking toys. My son is really enjoying the Allosaurus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Mattel Jurassic World Hammond Collection Allosaurus action figure. For my honest review of it. This is a really well made dinosaur. It has movable arm, legs, head, jaw, and tail. This dinosaur is fun to play with. It will keep your kids entertained for hours. This would also be a nice dinosaur. To add to your collection. If you are a Jurassic World collector. I definitely recommend it. This is made for kids 8+ and older

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys have been playing with dinosaurs for years now. So, they have quite the collection. This Allosaurus is a great addition to their collection! This figure is unlike any of the others we have. It's more life-like. The head, mouth, legs, and arms move. And, its texture resembles real reptile skin! This is definitely my boys favorite dinosaur! We are so lucky to be able to add it to their collection! High quality, long lasting product for years of fun and entertainement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 year old, who was obsessed with dinosaurs as a toddler, liked playing with this realistic looking Allosaurus. He particularly liked that the extremities can move. The jaws open and close with ease. I was also appreciative of the soft, pliable hands and feet as I'm sure it'll soften the blow a bit when it "attacks". It's a fun one to add to your dino collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really well made and durable dinosaur. My son loves to stomp it around on all the other dinosaurs he has. It is probably best for older kids as it does have some hard points on the tail. Very well made and realistic feel to the dinosaur.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is basically just an "action figure". My son was bored with it after couple of hours. The tail was difficult to attach. I think it is "snap-on", it didn't stay on as he was playing with it even though I tried attaching it couple of times but after awhile it was too much trouble so I gave up attaching it. Maybe if the tail stayed on he would be more interested in playing with it but without a tail he said "it wasn't a dinasaur"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is yet another great dinosaur from the Jurassic series. This dino has so many moveable joints that make for more realistic playtime. the toy feels strong, like it could withstand numerous dino fights! The only complaint is that it doesn't roar like some others in the collection. Great dino for a great price for any collector!

He said he loved them mobility an articulation and how it has improved from his last models. Overall, he thought it was great. The one thing he could point out was he wished that the hip joints were a little more Adjustable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't really sure about this toy because it doesn't have any "cool features" like noises or action buttons. I am really impressed with this dinosaur toy. It is a really nice size. The fact that it isn't as big as some others makes it really easy to store when not in use. It has great detail with many working joints for posing in various stances and the eyes almost look real. The mouth opens and closes and has alot of realistic detail on the tongue and teeth. The size is so perfectly proportioned that the dinosaur is able to stand on it's own in different positions which just makes playtime even more fun. Also, the long tail is made of a softer material that is bendable and also helps to balance the dinosaur. We have numerous other dinosaurs we play with and this one has become one of the favorites. I recommend this Allosaurus to anybody who has interest in dinosaurs.

Another Hit from the Hammond Collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Allosaurus was a BIG hit with my kiddo! K loves high detail toys, and that's exactly what you get with anything from the Hammond Collection. The level of articulation, especially in the limbs, jaw and tail, kept K entertained for hours, coming up with new complicated poses. The sculpt and paint job are also excellent. But our favorite detail was the glassy inset eyes. They were so life-like and shiny! Absolute banger.

The only thing they wished it did was make noises. Otherwise, it kept their interest especially when using it with their other dinosaur figures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice quality dinosaur to add to the collection. The paint job looks good and the many points of articulation make it easy to pose. It can be difficult and frustrating for younger hands to get it to stand on its own. The tail is made of a rubbery material which is heavier than the hollow plastic body, so it is bottle heavy. I do wish the eyes were slightly bigger because they are hard to see.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice dinosaur action figure. It is good for imaginative play and does have some movable parts. My kids immediately noticed how cool the eyes looked when they took it out of the box. It has been a good addition to their dinosaur play collection. The toy seems sturdy and well made to hold up with rough play.
