A: The headboard accepts all traditional twin size mattresses sold today.

A: This is for a twin sized mattress. Our research shows that many people place a twin mattress on the floor to start the transition out of the crib. Our headboard works when the twin mattress is on the floor. But, when the child uses a bed frame, our headboard also adjusts when the child is using a twin mattress on a bed frame.

We bought this for our son when he got his "big boy bed". He was so excited and couldn't wait to sleep in his room. putting it together was fast and easy there were only a few things we had to do to get it ready. I love that you can have the twin mattress on the floor level or have a bed frame and box spring when he gets a little older. The heavy-duty plastic takes a beating from Masson but it has held up amazingly.
