I love that this was metal and I love the little bag and accessories it came with so I was super excited to give it to my daughter for Christmas. She asked for a bug catcher and she was so excited for it. Unfortunately, it didn’t hold up well. The flap on the blue bug catcher broke after she opened it and closed it at the hinges. The door now is off the blue enclosure. I love the bag and stuff it came with so I’m keeping it for that but I will be purchasing a different big catcher that’s hopefully a bit more sturdy.

I love this cute bug set! My daughter really got into bug catching and bugs and all so we got this for her. She absolutely loves it! The only downside side I would say is that the bug house can easily get bent the wrong way making it not close but it can easily be bent back to make it work again.

Great for outdoor exploring

Such a cool gift for my son! He loves playing with outside catching bugs and even inside pretending to be on “missions”. Love the neutral colors. The little clear holders broke pretty quickly however. Everything else was great quality. Would recommend for boys and girls!

My boys each received this set for their birthday. neither one of them made it past the first day of use. The mechanism that holds the door closed broke on both cages. If renders the cage pretty useless with a door that doesn't stay closed.

Everything is sturdy and well made, which is an absolute must for my wild child’s outdoor play.

This is the cutest kids toy and all functional. My son takes this with him every time he goes outside and comes back with a bag full of outdoor treasures. He has even started a field guide with the papers it came with. The cage is a little difficult to open and close, my 6 year old needs help opening most times.

I got this as a gift for my niece for her birthday and unfortunately several pieces were missing.

Bought this for my son’s 5th birthday and it was a hit! He caught some ants, roly-poly’s, and a spider! And it’s so aesthetically pleasing!

Really great outdoor bug kit for kids! It comes with a magnifying glass, a really nice durable canvas bag with a shoulder strap, a clip board with pages to record findings, two little disc trays with lids to keep your findings in, a net and large blue metal container with a vented door for larger critters. The items are really well made comparable to some of those plastic kits. The containers hold up well between two kids and hold their plants, bugs and dirt samples well. Plus they can fit everything but the big blue container in the shoulder bag to carry with them wherever they go. It’s a great set for explorers!

My daughter is 4 and she has loved using the magnifying glass to look at the dirt and looking for butterflies. The tote is very sturdy and very adjustable when it comes to the how long or short you need it depending on the child. The magnifying glass feels very sturdy. As for the net, it looks nice but the netting in my option would break fairly easily.

This outdoor explorer kit is so perfect for little curious explorers to play in the yard and would be a perfect gift as well! I do wish the butterfly/insect net was a little bigger and with a longer handle because it seems too small and flimsy, but my daughter loves it regardless. It’s absolutely perfect for creative play!

This was such a cute little explorer set. My favorite part was the little cage is made of metal and not cheap plastic. This set literally comes with everything you would need to catch little critters. It even comes with a clipboard and papers so you can keep track of what you see/catch

This is such a great explorer kit. It comes with a critter cage, 2 dishes with lids, a net, magnifying glass, writing board and paper pages to journal your findings. This all comes with a really nice adjustable strap bag to carry it all. The net and magnifying glass have durable wooden handles and the glass on the magnifying glass is nice and thick. The door on the cage actually stays securely shut. I’m am so impressed with the quality of this set and my 5 year old is really taking an interest in the outdoor and nature since getting this. I highly recommend this set.
