Great Set for the Older Kids but Sand is Coarse and Darker Brown
I got this set for the older kids, ages 11 and 20, and it kept them off of their cell phone for more than an hour. It has plenty of sand but the sand is a darker brown and very coarse like the one that comes in the 3 lb bag. The kids kept trying to steal the lighter colored, fine sand from the Sandy Farm Set that their siblings received. Even I found myself playing with the finer sand as it has a more soothing texture. (Shame on me!)

COURSE SAND not the typical fine kinetic sand
Very course sand! This isn’t the same kinetic sand in most of the other kits that is smooth and easier to mold. It’s very thick and gritty. It feels like the sand you get from michael’s brand sand. Do not recommend. I wish the box indicated how big the sand was compared to the finer typical kinetic sand that you expect to pay so much money for. Not worth the cost….

I really liked this product. I was concerned it was going to be like normal sand and all over the place, but that was not the case. It's almost like a moldable sand like when you add water to sand, but it is dry. The color of the sand doesn't stain your fingers nor container, which I appreciate as well. My little one had a blast with it, and I liked that when they were done, I could cover it with the provided storage lid.

This set is fantastic! I'd been on the fence about kinetic sand for fear of it being a mess, but it holds together well and hasn't been an issue. My kids absolutely love this stuff!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly surprised with this product! My first thought was OMG sand in my house! But after watching my 2 boys, ages 5&7 playing with the kenetic sand I have to say the mess and clean up was a breeze. The sand sticks together creating easier clean up. Both boys can play with this for hours if I would let them. They are able to create many things and the best part is that it keeps very well. We have used the same sand for over 10 plays and it is still like brand new! Well worth the purchase and I would definitely purchase again!!
