This did not work well at all. Could not get it to look anywhere even close to the pictures. We have a lot of Kinetic Sand toys as well as playdoh and playdoh held up better in this but these cones were frustrating for all of us. I’d skip this one.

The soft serve dispenser does not produce ice cream swirls as depicted in pictures. The Station also lacked quality control as there were pieces that were not removed to attach the top to the base. However, My 4 year old son loves it regardless. The kinetic sand is great, he’s been playing and making ice cream cones with his hands for about 40 min and still playing. It’s good for imagination play and we had fun making cones even thought the dispenser doesn’t produce a nice formed swirl like the pictures on the packaging. Honestly it’s not worth more than $5.00. Should be sold at the dollar store

This is a fun addition to our kinetic sand collection that does keep my son entertained. A few misleading things just to be aware of, first the 'sprinkle' grater doesn't really work well because....it's sand. It makes sense in hindsight, but the pictures on the box are misleading. Second, if you make the big ice cream cone as shown in the picture, the opening is just slightly too narrow for the ice cream cone to slide out full. That might be intentional to help the 'ice cream' bulge out a bit like a real ice cream cone, hard to say. Again, the kit is very entertaining but wanted to point those things out.

The ice cream maker is well made, it’s safe for her to use on her own, and it’s mess free. Hoovers up well if it does go on the carpet and tidies up perfectly. The sets are good value for money and can be reused again and again! Thank you for this, you’ve made my daughter very happy!

A generous amount of kinetic sand is provided in three different colours. The push mechanism is easy to use for a young child. The tools provided allow for creativity and a sensory experience. Great toy as part of role play to encourage imagination in young kids. Bare in mind it doesn't take long for the colours to mix together. However, this doesn't affect the experience, and my kids were very happy and thoroughly enjoyed playing with it.

This kinetic sand ice cream toy is probably my daughters ideal toy. She is forever making us pretend icecreams and her kinetic sand tray is one of her favourite toys. The set comes with the icecream maker in two parts, you have to push down firmly to get them to attach and they do detatch but I do worry the clips may break if you do that repeatedly, you're best off leaving it together. It also comes with three colours of kinetic sand, two ice cream cones, a spoon, and a spatula. It does require a bit of strength to push the sand through. My little one needed help at first but is starting to get the hang of it now. She made a delightful ball of sand that she said was a "cake pop". The toy cones with trays for the different colour sand. I would advise not mixing the sand colours because your first ice cream will be pretty, but you will very soon have a multicoloured grey mess. We set it up so that they are different flavours and we have to pick one flavour for her to make us.

Very good to keep the little one busy and to get their imagination going. I really like the little grater to create sprinkles to be added to decorate the ice cream.
