Great tasting GF pie crust. Just wish it made a little more, as I can’t seem to fill a regular pie tin completely.
I'm new to gluten-free baking.

I'm new to gluten-free baking. However, I found out 2 of our guests at Thanksgiving were gluten intolerant. The Pie Crust mix, made it a lot easier to get the pies made and to serve up some pie to those who thought they would not be able to have pie! Thanks King Arthur!
Needs more mix, but flavor and flake are excellent regardless

We love the flavor and flake of this crust, better than glutenous in our opinion. We make it with unsalted butter-it does cause it to brown at the edges without a tent foil, but it’s also too soft to hold a saver or tent foil without getting smooshed. Super challenging to make large enough to do a 2 crust pie. Bought zippered roll bags which really helped with the rolling and transfer, and the top just barely covers the edges of my pie dishes 9” and 10” with barely any excess to seal decoratively and/or trim away. Really wish there was a bit more mix in the box to provide the excess to crimp.

I've been making pie crust since I was a little girl. I've been searching for a GF piecrust for 15 years since my daughter was diagnosed with celiac. The first time I made it according to your recipe (except I added a half a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of baking soda based on my childhood recipe) I thought it was the best tasting and crispest that I've tried. The dough was still painfully challenging to handle like other dose. I've tried. In my batch today, I added the baking soda, half a teaspoon of xanthan gum although I know that you also had some in your mix, and used half butter, half Crisco. With that combo, I could get away with 4 tablespoons of butter, and the dough was as easy to handle as my childhood andjust as crisp.

Haven’t tried this gluten free mix yet. Others I’ve tried are generally more than expected. Stars are based on past experience with other mixes purchased.

Buttery, gluteny, Pie crust has always been my favorite part of a pie. So I was really skeptical about a gluten free version. I have had a few different gluten free pies and had to throw away the crust because it was so bad. Like soggy cardboard! I decided to try this King Arthur mix because their regular mixes have been so perfect before. I expected the worst. Oh was I surprised when I had my first taste! This gluten free mix is wonderful. I ate my whole piece of pie plus I stole half the crust from my husband’s piece of pie. I am amazed at how good this is! Since the pie crust was so delicious, I have tried many other gluten free mixes from King Arthur and every single mix was an astounding home run! I just love King Arthur!

Making a GF apple pie for Thanksgiving. Knew that King Arthur would be a safe bet but it was better than I had hoped for. Why try making my own GF crust when Kind Arthur is a proven winner.

The flavor was wonderful. I am a beginner pie maker so I hit a few rough spots. When the dough cracked after moving it to the pie pan, I moistened it with water and pressed the crack out! I dusted the crimped edge with sugar crystals and that was a big plus.

I found it impossible to move the crust to the pie plate. The dough is frozen and I will use it for pecan squares.

I have been making pies for over 40 years. This is the best GF pie crust I have made. I make sure to keep good size pieces of butter when mixing the ingredients by hand. After refrigerating the dough into 2 round discs, I let it warm up just enough to make it easier to roll out. I put it between 2 pieces of wax paper with a little GF flour sprinkled on the dough. I start by kneading it with the heels of my hands, and reincorporate any loose pieces with my fingers. I then roll it slowly and carefully until the size will fit in a pie plate. I was not able to get a top crust for the pie without it breaking into pieces so I made a lattice crust. Everyone thought it was as good as pie crust made with regular flour.

It’s quite easy to use. I did have to add more water than suggested on box to get it to come together. It rolled out well -something gluten free pie dough doesn’t always do. My pies looked and tasted great! Wish it was available to purchase locally.

I was very apprehensive at first, because I had never made a piecrust mix. My daughter-in-law is gluten-free and she loved it. Will absolutely do it again.

This is a very good alternative to making your own G-F pie crust. I am not a good pie crust maker to begin with and then throw in G-F and I'm terrible. Since my sister and her family are G-F, this mix gives me a chance to impress them! I'm very grateful that KABC sells this mix. I recommend it!

It takes some practice to learn how to roll out the dough. But the pie crust is delicious and flacky.
