Q: Do the handles on the pot and lid conduct heat?
submitted by Shirley - 1 year ago
A: Thank you for your inquiry. While all handles can get hot (depending on the heat settings used), it is important to note that everyone will have different sensitivities and tolerances for heat. With any handle material, we do recommend using potholders as a precaution. We hope this information is helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was in awe. He loves to make soup. We joke he cooks for an army. He loves this new pot. He ended up washing it and making chicken noodle and veggie soup. Was great size. Only down side it gets a little hot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a nice big pot for cooking soup or pasta sauce. This pot kept my sauce very warm and worked great to simmer for a long time. I didn't notice any burning or staining as it was easy to clean. The pot cooked my food evenly as well. I do not dishwash my pots so I am unsure how the pot would be in the dishwasher. I suggest handwashing it.

Works great on magnetic cooktops! Larger pots are well sized and handles are solid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is my new favorite. I love how sturdy it is. Clean up is a breeze as well. I was worried it would be too heavy but it's actually pretty perfect. I've made plenty of breakfast and dinner and never had an issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is a great value. Let me start by stating that I own one of the more expensive other brand “clad” pans in the same size. This KitchenAid is heavier, which means more material for better heat distribution and retention. What’s not to love—it distributed heat evenly, and cleans up easily, if you do your part. The key is to let it heat up dry for a couple minutes, then add your oil and let that heat up. Then when you add your food it is largely non stick, without the questionable non-stick coatings. Clean up is easy, and most of the time we just pop it into the dishwasher and it comes out fantastically clean. The only caveat is that in this size, this pan is heavy (which is a good thing in my book), but just know that going in and size down if needed. Love this pan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this kitchen aid 5-ply 10 inch. Stainless steel frying pan to make several things over the course of the last few weeks. I have used it to make omelets, hash browns, pancakes, etc. It's easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to store in my cabinets. I will get another pan like this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this pan, it has enough room in it to fit food for my family in at once. I love the fact it can withhold temperature in the oven up too 500 (and we have put it to the test). I love it is non stick and easy to clean, and does not rust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new 5-ply clad stainless steel frying pan! It is big enough to cook bacon in which is the main reason I wanted this pan. I like the fact that I can put in the oven too. It is a big help when I want to make a bigger meal because I can fit more in it than my other pans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond thrilled with the performance of this Kitchen Aid Stainless Steel frying pan. I use a flat top range and I was really impressed with how evenly this pan heats up and holds temperature. It is perfect for my grandmother's recipe for fried chicken.
