I thought it was a good colander but after a few months the rubber ring on the bottom came off. I still have my mother's colander from the 60's and the legs and handles are still on. They don't make things like that anymore.

I loved it while it lasted, but as other reviewers have said, the silicon ring at the bottom came off - after just 3 months for me. I still use it but will be purchasing something different going forward. Definitely not the quality I associate with kitchen aid.

I bought this as a replacement to my last colander. It is SO much better than what I had before. Super sturdy. Nice looking. Small holes so food stays in when straining. The rubber is great for non slip and non scratch purposes.
Poor quality--will not last!

I had this for about 6 months. Barely used it. The silicone ring at the base of it came off. This is with minimal and gentle use and washing. Don't bother buying this item. It will break.

Bought this and once I brought it home noticed the silicone ring at the bottom was coming off. disappointing that this comes from kitchenaid which should have a better standard. returned it. for the price I expected better.

I bought this 5 quart KitchenAid Stainless Steel Colander to replace an older, plastic one I had. I've had it for a few weeks now, and I love it. I use it to strain/drain boiled veggies, pasta, etc. It's easy to clean and is lightweight. I wish the handles on the side were a scooch bigger, but I think that's more my personal preference. High quality and worth the price.

I really need a new strainer! This was perfect (replacing a 10 year old one!) I do tend to hand was just because it’s almost too big for the dishwasher if it’s too full

Great colander, works great! 4 stars because of the price, I think $18 is a little much for what it is and Target did not have much of a selection, but it appears to be good quality.

Well-made. I've had it nearly 3 years and use it and wash it in the dishwasher pretty regularly. and it is still perfect. It is large, so it can hold a whole box of pasta. The holes are small enough that no pasta falls through regardless of the pasta type. The rim at the bottom ensures food inside does not touch the surface of the sink
Perfect Colander

Great colander! The holes are just the right size so nothing falls through, but you still drain the water efficiently. I wish I bought this years ago.
