The thing I love about this formula most is that it gets your hair super clean but also leaves it feeling
moisturized and looking shiny. It's hard to find a shampoo, particularly a sulfate-free shampoo, that does both really well.

How to:
1. Depending on the thickness of your hair, dispense a dime to quarter-sized amount
into your palm.
2. Apply to wet hair, massaging into the scalp to create a rich lather.
3. Rinse clean and repeat if necessary.
Tip: If my hair is extra oily or has a lot of product in it, I like to shampoo twice.

It smells amazing and I have long hair so I was skeptical about the small bottles but it lasted me for a long time actually it’s still about halfway full and I have had it for about a year or better now so. No hairloss at all and it’s been used by my daughter and son as well. So I think it’s great love her products

Q: How do you open the bottle? The most poorly designed pump bottle I have EVER dealt with. WASTE of money as I cannot use the bottle and now have to be hassled to return it when I specifically ordered it online so that I didn't have to go to the store.

A: Hello! Sorry for the inconvenience. For the pump, with dry hands, hold the collar of the pump and turn the nozzle piece counterclockwise until the pump pops up. Make sure the collar under the pump is tightly screwed into the bottle. We hope this helps!

my hair tends to get greasy relatively fast so i needed a clarifying shampoo that was affordable and effective. i have tried other things from the brand, so i felt confident buying their shampoo. it lathers very nicely and is very effective and getting any product build up out of your hair. just be cautious to not use it too often because it can cause dryness. i’d recommend around two to three times a month.

I’m 40 this year and thought my hair loss was from aging. Then I thought maybe it’s from using Olaplex products after I shampoo. But didn’t make sense because I had been using them a year and my hair looked thicker. But, I quit Olaplex because it has reviews on hair loss also. But, Io had been using Kristen Ess the past 4 months and didn’t look up the hair loss people are experiencing. It’s not a joke, I’ve lost half my hair. I went to my doctor to run a bunch of tests on me because of my hair loss specifically. Everything came back within normal range. I’m worried my hair will not grow back at my age. This has been horrifying!

Good clarifying shampoo! Does what I need a clarifying to do. Get my hair squeaky clean without making it too dry. I use it after removing my tape in extensions & this does a good job or removing any leftover sticky residue. Also not expensive at all!

Save yourself!! I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for a couple months. At first, I loved the smell and I thought my hair looked relatively shiny. Recently, I have noticed a tremendous amount of hair loss in the shower and when brushing. My hair used to be so much thicker. I will not be using these products any longer.

I used to buy this shampoo and conditioner exclusively. I started losing a lot of hair but was told it was from age. Then I reluctantly switched to another brand temporarily because I needed something cheaper. I started to notice I wasn’t losing hair like crazy anymore, so I didn’t switch back to Kristin Ess. Now months later my hair is really thick again and I’m getting compliments on the thickness and how nice it looks. Someone asked me if I had colored my hair because it looks nicer. I’ve only changed shampoo/conditioner.

After using for about 4 months, I noticed my scalp was itchy more often than it used to be - to the point of getting crusty patches. And then I noticed the area around my temples was thinning out. I had to start using Rogaine to combat the hair loss. Didn't realize it was the shampoo at first. However - I love the way my hair feels after using this and the smell is DIVINE. I will continue to use the other products in this line that do not have to touch my scalp.

i bought this shampoo and conditioner set in hopes of finding high quality product that help maintain my thick hair. i have experienced hair loss, losing much more hair just brushing or running my fingers through my hair, and thinner hair in the front of my head. do not recommend!

I absolutely love this product!! I was skeptical at first because of some reviewers complaining about hair loss, but I was convinced by two of my friends who had great experiences with the product. I’d been struggling with an itchy scalp, greasy hair even immediately after washing, and my hair overall just feeling thinner despite it being very thick. As soon as I started using Kristin Ess I immediately noticed a difference. Even in the shower as I rinse it out I can feel a difference and it just feels so much cleaner. I can now go a few days between hair washes and my scalp is no longer itchy and my hair looks fuller and feels softer much softer. I prefer to wash my hair twice with the shampoo so it really cleanses my hair and it works perfectly and doesn’t leave it feeling producty at all. If you’re looking for an affordable yet high-quality product I highly recommend looking into Kristin Ess!!
