No way this product is gluten free! I have celiac disease and am on an extremely strict diet and this is literally the only thing I added in cookies! I about died! Gluten affects my heart! Very disappointing!

Used to be the best gluten free flour on the market. Now it’s the worst. They changed the packaging and put “same great taste” on it but that’s a lie. Now it smells and tastes like fermented grass and crushed aspirin. I had to throw out two batches of Christmas cookies, and two bags of brand new Krusteaz gluten free.

I bought the all purpose flour based on the tasty reputation of your brand. (I usually go with another brand but the store was out. So I tried Krusteaz brand And I am glad I did. I used the flour to make pancakes using the recipe on the back of the box. And I must say, those were the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten in my life short of IHOP! Those pancakes were crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I can’t wait to make other items out of the all purpose flour. You get five stars from me!!
List all ingredients: May contain milk

The packaging does not say it contains milk. I purchased the product and hesitated on using it. It was after hours to call the 800 number. I googled the brand and after reading reviews one persons wrote it contained milk. After careful reading it stated it may contain milk. I am annoyed because I have to make a trip to the supermarket to return it. I am new to having to use gluten-free/dairy free products for a family member. Please add on the packaging may contain milk or soy.

At the Krusteaz Company, we believe it's important to let consumers know as much as possible about any allergens in their products, or produced on shared equipment. We follow FDA guidelines, so all of our products will clearly state whether or not a product contains any of the 9 top allergens specified by the FDA. The FDA doesn't require "may contains" labeling, but we add it because we want consumers to have that information in front of them. Our Krusteaz Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour does not contain milk or soy. At this time, it is also not produced on shared equipment with any products that contain milk or soy, so there is no "May Contains" statement on the packaging. If production for this product changes in the future, it will be reflected on the packaging. We try to update our website as quickly as possible to reflect the current information on the packaging; but we do recommend going by what's on the packaging over what appears on our website.

Does everything this brand makes have milk?

I thought the various mixes of this gluten free brand would be good to try but when I looked at the ingredients of just about every product there was mention of milk. Many with celiac disease cannot tolerate dairy in addition to gluten. It's too bad many of us have to avoid this brand with its nice variety because the products contain milk or have been exposed to milk. That's a pretty large gluten free market lost from one single ingredient.
I love this flour blend:)

I have celiac and this is my favorite store available blend. I make great pie crust with this and use it for cookies as well. No one knows it is gluten free! I also love that it is made with quality flours.

I really tolerate this flour. Most gluten-free products have some sort of starch involved as in potato or tapioca which I both have intolerance too. Even though this product does have tapioca, yes it does, it’s in the modified food starch. You have to question what the food starch is modified with. After calling the company they told me tapioca. Even though it’s a small percentage it doesn’t affect me. But it could affect others. Just letting you know you need to question what the food store just modified with as it could be modified with corn, potato, tapioca, or wheat.
Very Dense Baked Goods

I tried this flour for pie crust and for a no yeast potato bread. I threw out the pie because the crust was very dense, heavy, and cardboard-y. It did not seem fully baked even after a pre-bake. Next I used it for a quick bread using mashed potatoes. Also very heavy and dense. Even after an extended bake time to insure it was done, the bread looked somewhat wet when sliced - no eye appeal. I sliced it thin and toasted it and the bread was okay to eat. Although the sorghum flour adds flavor it seems to be at the expense of texture, bake times, and appearance which was poor in both the pie crust and the bread. My oven is reliably accurate. These results had to be due to the flour, which I would certainly not call "all purpose." I don't intend to use it again. I'll just add that I really like the Krusteaz gluten free coffee cake mix and would use it again.

I used this flour as a 1 for 1 substitute in a regular recipe for muffins and it worked extremely well. Not at all gritty. My sister thought she tasted some corn in it, but no one else mentione4d that.

I love this gluten free flour! I’ve used it to make this sugar cookie fruit pizza as well as a gluten free pumpkin pie and you couldn’t tell the difference. Obviously it’s a little more expensive than regular flour but worth the price to spoil those that have intolerances and allergies!

I have a gluten intolerance as well as a tapioca allergy. Most gluten free products and flours include tapioca in some form. I was so excited to find this flour! It doesn't have tapioca and works really well in all of my non gluten free recipes and the taste is great!
