Q: I would like to use this to replace Cerave's PM moisturizer. What percentage of niacinamide does this have? (Cerave PM moisturizer have 4%)

A: I think that this deserves an answer as well. The statement that "The percentage of specific ingredients in any given product is not a measure of the ingredient's efficacy" is just wrong. Well-conducted clinical studies have shown Niacinamide to be efficacious for various purposes at the 4%-5% range. If this product does not contain that ingredient in that percentage, there is a good chance the Niacinamide included may not be in the efficacious range that has been clinically studied. I too would like to see if this product works well, but I am not going to throw my money and skin in a lottery and hope that the Niacinamide is efficacious. I will be sticking to CeraVe for the time being.

Absolutely love this body balm from La Roche-Posay! I’ve gone through several bottles already and always find myself repurchasing it. It’s incredibly nourishing without feeling heavy or greasy—my skin just drinks it up. Especially during the colder months or after shaving, it leaves my skin super soft and soothed. Tan packe is big and it’s also hygienic. It’s one of those products I never want to be without. Total staple in my routine!

I have used this for years, off and on. It's great for my sensitive skin. The one thing I HATE more than anything, though, is that the product always dries and clogs - every time I pump it out, I get a clump of old, crusted product that I have to throw away and gives me the major ick. I have used the AP+ version of this and it doesn't happen with that one, so I don't know what the deal is (maybe this is thinner?) Wish they could fix that!

Liked the feel of the lotion! Seemed to help my dry skin! Until I couldn’t figure out why I was smelling a dirty fishy smell and then …. Alas, it was ME! It’s gag-worthy and so disappointing. I’ve tried other supposedly unscented lotions but this one is definitely scented! Affirmed as that evening when I was around my husband he asked what the bad smell was. I don’t feel I can use it anymore because it’s so bad. Very disappointed.

One of the best lotions I have tried. This lotion is very thick and deeply moisturizing. It helped heal my damaged skin barrier and has kept my skin very soft and moisturized. This is a lotion I will repurchase over and over despite the pricey cost. I am thrilled with my results. It also has no scent and does not feel greasy.

This La Roche-Posay lotion is thick and moisturizing. It really didn’t have much of a scent. I used this as the end step of my skincare routine. My face is smooth and hydrated, but be careful not to use too much. A little goes a long way.

I use this as my every day facial moisturizer both morning and night and it's perfect. Works well/doesn't pill under sunscreen and makeup in the morning, and at night it provides enough hydration when I layer it over tretinoin, much better than some heavier creams that I've tried. I had an allergic reaction to propanediol in a moisturizer recently, this is one of the few drug store moisturizers that does not have propanediol or propylene glycol in it. In fact, ever since I've removed that ingredient from my routine, my skin has re-balanced. It used to be dry/very dry but now I would say it's close to 'normal' type in terms of hydration, and I use tretinoin every evening. I also keep a bottle of it in my locker for post-shower after swimming, since I can use it for both body and face. I hope LRP never reformulizes it as I would be at a loss!

I use this brand for facial moisturizer so I decided to try it for body lotion too. I like that the ingredients list is small but it’s just okay in my opinion. It goes on smooth but doesn’t feel like it absorbs well and it leaves me feeling a little sticky for 10-15 minutes. I will continue to use it until it’s gone since it isn’t cheap, but I don’t think I would buy it again.

The best moisturizer for your whole body. Face and all. I didn’t even know it was a body moisturizer until I read it! It has shea butter which helps with moisturizer and keeps the hydration in from your skin routine. I absolutely love this lotion.
