Lansinoh Breastfeeding Essentials Kit for Nursing Moms

I only gave this a three because the pump is not that easy to use. I was pleased with everything else. The hole in the pump is way to big. I used it only as a collection cup as I pumped the other breast with the manual Medela pump.

Purchased as a baby shower gift for a new mom and love this! All the products I used for my baby but I had to get them separately which was more money. This gift box is fantastic and thoughtful, I love this!

I like the products their own well enough. The only thing I'm "meh" on are the breast pads but all disposable breast pads will be slightly itchy. It is what it is. Price is why this specific bundle is getting a low rating. Buying these items separately you will get more breastpads and 3x the lanolin nipple cream for essentially the same price. If I were to calculate with the "per item" price for the breastpads and lanolin then this bundle is actually slightly higher than the actual retail value. I understand the convenience of just putting a bundle onto your baby registry, but if you are wanting a better bang for your buck just purchase the items separately.

Was gifted the 3-in-1 cool and heat breast pads that I chose to have on my registry. Was super excited about them. Used a couple times before pumping and feeding and felt good about it. We t to hear again for another use as directed in manual and the pad popped. Super upsetting

Mostly because these are items that I used during my first round of breastfeeding and pumping, so of course they are going to be useful the second time around! The Lansinoh Breastfeeding Essential Kit comes with a silicon breast pump (my favorite item), heating/cooling pads (second favorite), breast milk bags, lanolin cream, and nursing pads - everything you need! We just finished remodeling our first floor at home, and this kit was a life saver. When I had to nurse, I would attach the silicon breast pump to collect my letdown. I was able to make a few bags of milk despite not pumping with an electric pump. Little one has been biting with her nonexistent teeth so the 3-in-1 therapy packs and lanolin cream was amazing to use! Finally, being out of the house a lot while work was being done, I would leak, but the disposal pads came in handy! This product is a definitely must for new moms or really any mom who is on her breastfeeding journey. I cannot recommend it enough.

When you first start breastfeeding this lanolin cream will save your nipples. The pads are amazing because dont allow the leaking to go through your bra & shirt. I use the milk catcher when im feeing my little one on one side and milk catcher on the other. Catches all my let down and its not being wasted. No pumping and strain on your nips. Then you can just use the storage bags and freeze. This is how I’ve began a freezer stash and dont have to take extra time to pump. Also if you feel engorged from your little one sleeping a longer stretch (yay) this will help you feel so relieved. So convient has everything you need! Love it!

This kit had so many essentials and everything was put to use! Those first few weeks, while trying to figure things out, i used the lanolin to help ease sore and cracked nipples. It provided some comfort and helped me be able to wear clothes without discomfort. The nursing pads help prevent any leaks that can be not only embarrassing but a hassle to have to clean or change shirts. The silicone breast pump was my favorite piece. This is great to put on one side while baby is on the other breast. It helps collect a lot of milk that would other wise just drip all over the place. It was easy to pour out of the pump and into the provided bags. The cold/hot packs are great for engorgement, pumping, or for any clogs or pains. When i went back to work and had a limited time to pump i used the hot packs to help during pumping (plus it just feels good to have some warmth!). When I had some clogged ducts i used the hot packs to help ease the pain (along with a vibrating toothbrush). For engorgement just chill these packs and they help with pain and swelling. Overall this kit had everything I needed for my breastfeeding journey

I also love all the accessories as well. I love the hand pump it works great. I also love it has pads as well for leaking which truly helped me so much. I just had my third baby (breastfed my other 2 through 12 months) but starting over is the same EVERYTIME...sore/cracked nipples, engorgement, leaking overnight, starting to pump again. It's horrible. This kit helped so much. While my supply was still regulating, the silicon pump was a great way to catch let down and prevent engorgement without pumping to produce an oversupply. I easily got 4-5 oz a day for doing NOTHING extra. That's a bottle y'all. Started my stash by day 3 instead of having to wait to use my electric pump. Game changer. Hands down my favorite breastfeeding accessory this go round. And the lansinoh bm storage bags are hands down best in the biz. They store so flat and I have zero issues with leaking. The reusable pads were great for overnights. So easy to throw in my nursing cami and helped save my bedsheets more than once from leaky boobs. I didn't use the freezer pads much just bc I luckily didn't have much of a need for them, but I think they would be super helpful if a momma got mastitis or thrush. I used them at the very beginning when my nipples felt sore, after nursing to try to help my nipples recover. Not sure it helped but it def didn't hurt. I highly recommend this to a new mom. Its easy and literally has everything (except lanolin and silver nipple shields) that a new bf momma needs. The Lansinoh Breastfeeding Essentials box is a fantastic present or starter kit for any nursing moms. My wife thinks it is particularly helpful for a first time mom during the first week after birth. Those TheraPearl packs would have been a life saver if we had a brand new, newborn. She really liked that it is perfect for a nursing mom to start building up a freezer stash of milk with the use of the silicone breast pump. While the cap can be a little tricky to get on, it's super helpful to be able to put the pump down and not worry about you or baby accidentally knocking it over before you have a chance to transfer it to the breastmilk storage bag. The pump strap was awesome, baby boy kicked the pump off and the strap kept it from splashing to the floor. My wife tended to use it a lot and also when she was pumping. The nipple cream is travel size and easy to slip into a purse, pocket, or diaper bag. It was helpful on days when she was sore but still had to feed and wanted to use the pump. The disposable pads were a life saver. They were very absorbent but did not clump up or feel damp against the breast. The pads are comfortable and were of good quality, not itchy.

If you are looking for a one stop shop purchase for yourself or a new mother this is it. As a second time mom, I was familiar with everything I needed for breastfeeding and this product has it all. This kit included all of the products that are nice to have on hand. The kit is great for keeping dry with engorgements and limiting breast milk waste. The heat/ice packs are also great for dealing with pain. My favorite product is the suction pump. This is awesome for placing on the opposite side baby is feeding on to catch milk or to relieve pressure from engorgement. This particular pump can be suctioned to a table to prevent spills. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am two months into breastfeeding my third child, and I loved every part of the Lansinoh Breastfeeding Essentials pack. The breast therapy packs and nipple cream both added a great deal of comfort as my body adjusted to my son’s latch and my milk coming in during my first weeks of nursing. I used to try to use a rice pillow or ice pack to help relieve discomfort but it was always difficult to get to to fit my body well. The therapy packs are made for this purpose and worked wonderfully, and I was able to use them WHILE I was breastfeeding! The nursing pads were very effective in preventing any leaking on my clothes when I would have a let down in public or while I was sleeping. I love that that have a small adhesive to keep them in place in my bra. I used the breast pump to catch any milk from my let down on the side my son wasn’t nursing on. It suctioned well to my breast and caught every drop. The breastmilk storage bags worked great for storing and freezing any breastmilk I pumped. I did not use the pump into bag feature, but would use a funnel to pour the milk from the pump bottle into the bag. I love that the label is not on the part of the bag that holds the milk so you can easily write the information on the bag after you fill it. I sometimes had difficulty getting the bag to stand up by itself if I only had one hand free to open the bag. The measurement on it is not accurate if the bag is not opened on the bottom. I have a few mom friends that are pregnant with their first child and hoping to breastfeed and I am eager to tell them about all of the items in the Lansinoh Breastfeeding Essentials kit, and maybe even gift them the kit to help make the breastfeeding journey as comfortable as possible! The kit came with everything needed for a first time (or repeat!) breastfeeding mama! The Lansinoh nipple cream is a must have for those first few nursing weeks and provides must needed relief for painful nipples. My favorite part of this kit are the therapy pads to help relieve engorged breasts (cold!) or clogged ducts (warm!). I love that they have little soft covers and can keep one in the freezer and one available for heating when needed. Speaking of engorged breasts, the milk catcher is key for middle of the night feedings before you’ve regulated your supply! The milk bags are also the best I’ve used and handy to toss in the freezer with all of the extra collected milk. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Between my four children I’ve been breastfeeding for a cumulative of over four years (and counting as I’m still nursing my youngest) and I’ve gone through my share of breastfeeding supplies. So I got to evaluate this breastfeeding essentials set from the perspective of someone who has already tried a number of items in various forms. What I liked about this set was it covers the most basic needs that a new mom might not realize they need in those first few days/weeks. With my first engorgement was extremely uncomfortable and I found heat was a huge comfort so I love the reusable therapy packs. No one warned me about leaking so I found myself ordering nursing pads in the middle of the night, like the ones included in this set. The Lansinoh breastmilk storage bags are also my go to for storing pumped or collected milk. What I was more ambivalent about was the nipple cream and silicone manual pump. Don’t get me wrong, I find both to be invaluable, I just have other preferred types that I find much more useful. The lanolin cream is fine for someone who doesn’t know what works best for them so I’m glad it’s included, I just would encourage moms to explore alternatives if they don’t find it as effective. Same with the pump, it’s a wonderful tool and I use my silicone pump to collect the letdown on opposite side during those first couple weeks, and build an early freezer stash, but this one is very bare bones and I think there are some other options that are a lot nicer for anyone wanting to use it with more regularity. But as an emergency purse pump for when you get engorged while away from baby, it’s a no brainer to keep around, just make sure you look up some videos or ask LC about how to use properly so you get the most out of it. Overall I think these is a really great basic kit for new moms or moms who need to restock for a subsequent pregnancy! This is definitely a must-have for new, nursing mothers.. it really has everything you need for those first few weeks. The ice/warm packs have been a lifesaver for my constant clogged ducts, and at this point they’re multi-purpose for our house with kids constantly needing ice packs. I felt like there were enough nursing pads, if not extra, for the first few weeks, when I’m not leaking as much anymore. I did find the lanolin nipple cream to be very thick and painful to put on when your nipples are sore, so I didn’t end up using it as much. The milk collected cup, holy cow I can’t believe I had never used this in my previous 2 times breastfeeding! I’ve saved up so much milk using it, and super easy to use. Definitely my favorite product in the essentials box. I would absolutely recommend this to expecting mothers that plan on breastfeeding, because I found everything in the box to be extremely helpful and useful (except for the lanolin cream, but I know others like it).

The kit comes with five essential items to make breastfeeding easier especially for a first time mom. Nipple cream is necessary for those first few weeks, as a mom of three I always got cracked nipples at the beginning, the amount that is in the kit is perfect, you don’t need anymore honestly. The TheraPearl Therapy pads are wonderful when your breast become engorged within the first few days after baby is born. My breast would become extremely uncomfortable and I could put them in the freezer or heat them up in the microwave as well and get instant relief. Love how it comes with a cover for the pads so they are not directly on your skin. The nursing pads stay put with the sticky on the back and hold a good amount of breastmilk. I’ve always leaked a lot with each baby and can attest they work great. This silicone breast pump is a fantastic new invention! Five years ago with my first kid they were basic and barely coming out on the scene. This by far is the best I’ve seen. I love how it stays upright when not in use with a base, great for late nights when you aren’t truly awake and rest it on the table. I absolutely love how you put it around your neck so it does not spill, the material is not at all flimsy. Last but not least in the kit, the storage bags. They are made out of sturdy material and have a double zipper which is great for late nights when you don’t know if you closed it tightly. I would buy this kit for any new moms or even experienced mom who are yet again starting their breastfeeding journey. The star of the show for me was the Therapearl therapy packs! I would have loved to have these in the beginning stages of nursing when my milk supply was still trying to regulate. I love that you can do hot or cold therapy too. I’ll be using them when I am ready to wean my baby from nursing. I thought the silicon breast pump was unique because it had the neck strap. I tried it on and man, does the breast pump suction — if you’re engorged then it would totally give you much relief! I’ve always loved the breast milk storage bags and the disposable nipple pads, so those are a win-win for me, too. The nipple cream seems like a trial size, but then again you don’t need much of it at a time so it’s a good size. I think this is a great essentials pack for new nursing mamas! I'm 11 months into nursing my third child, so pretty much a breastfeeding pro at this point. I've tried almost every product on the market, and have pretty strong opinions on most of them. After testing things out, the Breastfeeding Essentials Kit will be a go-to baby shower gift. Lansinoh breast milk bags are the best on the market, and I won't buy any other brands. I love the TheraPearl pads, which were a huge assist when my son was a brand new infant, and now are a go-to addition for pumping at work. As we move towards weaning in the next few months, I'm glad to have them in my back pocket for helping with that discomfort. The breast pads are discreet and comfortable, and the silicone pump seems pretty much indistinguishable from the other brand that everyone recommends. And, of course, the lanolin nipple cream is always essential. At an affordable price point, and conveniently packaged, I'd have been delighted to receive this as a new parent, and look forward to sharing with friends as they have babies.
