A: 1.5 inch. Most interior doors are either 1.375 or 1.5 inches thick with the exception of fire or garage doors ~ 1.75 inches thick. Exterior doors are typically 1.75 or 2 inches thick

These hooks are incredibly strong. I had been using it for towels etc. but ended up repurposing it in my kitchen to store cast iron cookware. I have been hanging probably 50+ lbs off it for well over a year with zero issues. It hasn’t even bent at all! Coming back to buy a second one to hang more pans.
