submitted bypdaws - 2 years agoA: this is a 3 in 1 type polish so it serves as a base/polish/top coat. you don't need a topcoat...I saw reviews that the topcoat (bought separately) makes your polish very shiny and lasts longer.

A: Hello, thanks for reaching out! Le Mini Macaron's gel polishes do not contain methacrylate in it. The ingredients are: Acrylates Copolymer, Pentaerythritol Tetraacrylate, 2-Isopropylthioxanthone, Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide. Let us know if you have any other questions.

A: Feel free to use our mini lamps with any brand of gel nail polish! We've designed our lamps to cure our gel polish in just 30 seconds, though the timing might vary with other brands. Our kit also includes removal wraps that can effortlessly remove any brand of gel polish.

Q: will this polish work with a uv lamp or do you hve to use an led one? I already own a CND UV lamp.

While it will work effectively with your existing UV lamp, we recommend our LED lamps for their safety advantages and faster drying times. LED lamps emit weaker rays and offer quicker results compared to UV lamps. While your CND UV lamp will do the job, our LED lamp might provide enhanced safety and efficiency for your nail-curing needs.

Q: Hi, Can you also use a normal nail polish? For example from H&M, OPI, primark etc? Or do you have to use the mini gel nail polish from this brand so you can use the LED light?

A: Hi Kath, thanks for getting in touch! Regular nail polish doesn't need to be "dried/cured" under an LED light, it needs to be "air-dried". Le Mini Macaron’s gel polish (included in the kit) is a 3-in-1 formula that combines base coat, color and top coat all in 1 bottle and does need to be dried with an LED light. Our macaron-shaped lamp can also be used with other gel polish brands, just not with normal nail polish.

A: Hello Nessa, Gel Polish is different from regular nail polish in that you need to “soak” it off. To remove your gel polish manicure you’ll need an acetone based nail polish remover, however, Le Mini Macaron does sell remover pads pre-soaked with acetone based remover which are very easy to use. The remover kit is available at Target for $12.50!

I did a thin coat as instructed, very hard to get it to go on evenly. Takes so much longer curing the nail individually. Also you have to be quick to cure bc the color shrinks and pulls away from the sidewalls of your nail. Pretty color (fairy floss) though. We’ll see how long it last before chipping.

I put it on and read all of the instructions and did everything it said to do and i cured it and the polish would not cure. I used the UV light it came with and when i cured it for 60 seconds and it only cured on the top i cured the same nail for 120 seconds and it still would not cure.

I absolutely adore this gel set. the size, the color (I got cherry red) and the efficiency in doing my nails. however, after using it for 3 days now, I've had nails peel off very easily every day, so I've had to go in and redo them. I'm wondering if I need to get a base or top coat gel to make them last longer? I'd love some suggestions but for now I'll just reapply them I guess.

i was a little hesitant to try this kit out, the reviews all over online were very mixed. i'm glad i purchased as this is now the only way i will ever do my nails again. i'm certain the low stars are from inexperience/poor prep work. your nails have to be CLEAN. and the first coat has to be barely there. like, there should barely be enough polish on the brush to cover the nail. it should be a bit of a struggle to get the first coat on. same w second coat. once this is applied, i did have a couple peel off a few days later but who! cares! it takes 3-4 min max to fix 1 nail between quick prep and quick color. also this is only my first attempt so it may have been 1st time user error. the more i work with the polish and brush (which is my only complaint, i wish the end was rounded to make application easier esp w the dark cassis color, but it is manageable..) its now been 9 days and 70% of my original paint job is still there. i do plan to get the builder gel bc i have some ridges and the polish does tend to pool at the end of my nail (thicker than regular polish, again this may just be dt not having worked with gel polish ever) and the top coat since the shine kind of fades a bit after the first few hours. just preference, i would love them to remain super shiny. cannot recommend enough but there will be frustration/learning curve if youre not used to doing your own nails at home.

I like it! The gel doesn't stay on like if you go to the salon, but I almost like that better! it stayed on for 2 days and then I noticed some nails had come off. Great thing is, my real nails were not damaged at all!!! Cute colors & love the stickers!

If you don't have great demands but want your nails always tidy and well looked after, this is the product for you. Easy to apply, practical and comfortable, as durable as a semi-permanent but less aggressive. Super recommended!
