Way Too Big

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

I absolutely loved the quality and colors on these, but the size was far too large for us. I use magnetic 9x11 dry erase boards as part of our homeschool supplies and these pieces were just way too large to be used the way I intended. The magnets seemed strong enough not to slide off the board while casually turning them over in different directions, but that may be different if leaving them on a vertical dry erase board for longer periods. I have a preference for magnetic materials when doing individualized learning because it makes for easy containment and minimizes things falling or rolling off of the board. Especially with younger siblings sometimes interrupting. This was the only magnetic money set I came across and it was a bigger bonus that the bills were updated and colored like the real thing. I didn't see "In God We Trust" on the bills but the coins have it. The coins are 4x actual size and the bills are 1.5x actual size. My suggestion is to make a smaller or more realistic magnetic version of these with the Coins actual size or only 2x actual size and the Bills ACTUAL size. That way they could be used for learning AND role play. With their current size being so large, I feel like they're mostly practical on a large classroom sized whiteboard where children in the back of a large class may need to identify them. They already say "School Money" on them and have the thickness and stiffness of double or triple card-stock with the magnet strip between the layers, so theres no way they would get mistaken for actual legal tender.

Why is IN GOD WE TRUST not printed on the paper money?

Attempted to use this item to teach a lesson, "In God We Trust" is written on our currency. I am very disappointed that on the paper money it has been replaced with "This Is Not Legal Tender." I understand the need for this to be printed somewhere, but to replace IN GOD WE TRUST was a poor decision in my opinion.

Great product. Good size for all to see. Back and front of coins allow easier recognition for students. Sticks well, with no tugging to remove.
Love the size of the money but magnet is not strong enough.

I love the size and the design but the magnet is not very strong and the money slides down the board. It would be great if it were made with a stronger magnet.

Used this for three months in a heavy usage children's museum environment. We made up our own word problems for kids to solve, but saw parents and children come up with a large array of different ways to use the pieces. Great double-sided graphics, very appealing to handle, and all the pieces are still intact.
Double sided magnetic money - Australian

The set is very good and I have used it a lot with my teaching of money for the children in my class. I have used it for coin and note recognition. It is also easy for the children to move around to make different amounts. The only problem is that in this particular set the $1 coin is not accurate... there is actually five kangaroos instead of the four that is on these ones, so I have had to tell the children that on the real $1 coin there is five kangaroos. I also felt that it was important to mention to the children that the Australian 50c and $1 coins are used for commemorative events as well, so the designs may change.
Amazing!

This product is absolutely perfect; the only thing I would change is that it would come with more nickels and dimes so that you can actually count up to a dollar. I had to buy two sets in order to do this.
