Item is cute and nice size. However, it broke the first day.

This toy broke apart after a couple uses. Some parts were small enough to swallow and choke on and we ended up throwing it away.

I was so excited for Santa to bring this to my 3 year old..she was over the moon excited to receive this because now she could bake just like mommy! Sadly this mixer has a ball on top roughly the size of a marble that easily came off! Had my daughter not handed it to me because she so sad her toy "bwoke" she could have choked on it! This toy is labeled for ages 2+ younger kids wouldn't neccesarily bring the handle of death to their parents like my little one did. Needless to say she is super bummer she cant play with her cool toy from santa because it's not safe :(

I actually bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas......being a retired FCS teacher, I thought a little mixer would be ideal!! I'll let you know how she likes it !!

I purchased this for my daughter and the second time we sat down to play with it, the green knob on top broke off. I love this item, but am going to return it due to this defect. I am also very concerned because the knob that broke off is quite small and is a choking hazard. Thank goodness we were sitting with her when it broke off and were able to pick it up right away. We have several other Learning Resources products and have been very happy with them. This toy definitely lacks quality.

After one day of play on Christmas my 2 year olds mixer broke. The plastic pieces that hold the heavy mixer top to the base are not strong enough to support the weight of the mixer. They need to consider some sort of metal hinge construction.

My daughter received as a Christmas present. The mixer was a big hit and a fun toy, but it broke with in a few hours of normal play. The join where the top and bottom of the mixer are connected is not strong enough to live up to one day with a two year old playing with it normally. The plastic tabs that hold the top on completely broke off, and there is nothing to snap back on to. Toy would benefit from a redesign to make the join stronger!

Fun for a toddler but not safe. The egg, butter and hand mixer are great but the connection of the hand mixer to to the base is poorly constructed. In the first week, with no effort by our 2 year old the two tiny pieces connecting each side broke and could have easily been swallowed. Thankfully one of us was there when it happened. I always look at reviews before purchase but unfortunately missed how many good ones for this product were collected as part of a promotion, which typically keeps me from buying.

The ball at the top of the mixer comes off very easily. It is a choking hazard for small children!

Similar to real life playing. Daughter loves that the mixer spins and the egg shell is soft, to easily open.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is really pretty fun for a young toddler because it has moving parts and separate pieces. My daughter enjoyed the box cover image of a smiling girl playing with all the pieces and therefore tried mimicking the photograph as best she could. She took to twisting the blender part of the mixer easily and had loads of fun with the egg (it's the perfect size to gnaw on and you can put the egg back together after "cracking" it anyway the ridges fit rather than only one way.) -It would be nice if the base on the blender were heavier so it didn't topple when she was playing with it. She had difficulty setting it back up properly without it toppling over and over, which was frustrating to her. - She was most interested in the egg and trying to put it back together. She walked around with it constantly. -She tried to twist the knob a lot. -I'm not sure she made a clear connection between this and my KitchenAid. I did make a recipe with my KitchenAid the day after we got this toy and she did seem to show interest in her toy afterward, although it was unclear to me whether she made the connection on her own or was just picking up the toy because I put it in front of her. This may be due to her younger age. -She was not interested in the butter or measuring cup.

Even in her play kitchen she gets to mix up cakes and cookies. Great toy for any little girl or boy who loves to help in the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pull out the new sprouts mix it set and play bakery! That's what we did. I had everything I needed for a little imaginative play, and it helped make my cooking time so much easier. The mixer is colorful and chunky. It's sized just right and the spinning beater makes a little sound to get excited about. It feels sturdy. Wiping it down was easy, too. Add several years of play to your play kitchen with this toy! I'm glad I did.

My kids jumped at the chance to play with it right away. I love how durable it is and the colors are bright and fun. It comes with an egg, butter and a measuring cup. I bake all the time so my daughter loves to get this out when I'm baking. She imitates me when i have my own mixer out. It is so great for her to have this to play with while I use mine. My son loves to play with it too! He gets it out when daddy makes pancakes in the morning. We have a lot of the New Sprouts kitchen toys/sets and this one is an awesome addition to our play kitchen area! I would highly recommend this play set.
