Based on the exciting, new LEGO DREAMZzz TV show, the set offers kids 2 ways to build an awesome vehicle. There are multiple ways to build this fun set. In its basic form, Mrs. Castillo’s turtle van toy has moving wheels and a removable roof. Kids can spend hours customizing it in 2 different ways using story-led building instructions. In party mode, the turtle van can be accessorized with a moving tree, a spinning cactus and an opening treasure chest. In flying submarine mode, the turtle van can be accessorized with a rocket and a moving periscope. The latter mode also features a flying version of Cat Cactus, who can travel alongside it. This encourages creative building and doubles the time kids can enjoy playing with each set. The building toy set includes minifigures of popular characters from the show: Mrs. Castillo, Mateo and Zoey. All of them can sit inside the van. I've never seen the show before, but the images of a turtle van totally sold me. Then I started building (super enjoyable build) and got to the section where you get to pick how you're building the final details, and of course chose the hot pepper version because it absolutely cracked me up. Haven't we all felt that we are quite possibly eating rocket fuel when we're having a spicy treat? XD Big recommend!

This set has the same issue as many other Dreamzzz sets: The multi-build gimmick makes the design of each less than it could be, and more expensive than it should be. The different builds require too many part changes to make for seamless play between the two, and it means parts have to remain very organized to accomplish them at all. In this case, the transition does not even give you the two main versions of the truck seen in the show (Mrs. C's waking-world taco truck and the dreamworld turtle truck); it just gives you a dreamworld truck with wheels or with the turle design. Why not then just give us one good dreamworld turtle truck, instead of two mediocre ones (and charging us for extra parts to make the switch)?

My son’s face lit up the moment he saw the box when it arrived . There was exclamations of pure happiness as he built it. Totally recommend this kit! The only drawback we had with it was that he dropped the little green dude on the floor as he was building and it’s been a week and we still CANNOT find him hahahaa! Weird!!

Enjoyed this build. Directions were great and final build looked nice. I like that the turtle bits were all in the last bag. That made it easy to skip the turtle part since I decided to build a regular van and not a vanturtle.

Purchased for a daddy/son build. He loves the show and I love the premise of this set. And it didn’t disappoint. Was a lot of fun to build and looks incredible. Way better than similar city sets. The colours and theme are just so imaginative and although might not be as impressive as the others in this range, it is easily my favourite. The only caveat to this review is value for money. I don’t think it’s quite worth the MRP… but you can pick this up for way less at retailers.

Lego Dreamzzz is like Ninjago and creator 3-in-1 had a baby. I love Lego dreamzzz so much, and I’m glad my kids share my opinion. This little van has so much build potential and customization. It contains so many cool parts in fun colors and extra stickers so you (or you kid) can create something that is truly one of a kind.

Love this set for the sheer creativity and humor behind it. I dig the idea behind the Dreamzzz concept, I absolutely know nothing about the characters or show, but this set just made me laugh. It's a great build of a VW-type van, with a few extra awesome bonuses!

My poor autistic kiddo has been so frustrated and upset all day trying to build this expensive Lego set but there are several pieces missing!!! He got it as a Christmas gift and was very excited to put it together. I would not recommend this set!

I just loved the idea of a turtle van despite not watching beyond episode 1 yet! My sister got it for me as an early Christmas gift (on sale elsewhere, I gave her the heads up 😅). Definitely one of my top 2 favorite Lego vehicles! (The other being the Lego Friends Tree Planting Vehicle). I'm just the type to like "realistic" vehicles, (I say as I'm writing about a turtle van lol), meaning that it can hold passengers! I modified mine to be a little bit of a combo of both possible builds. I added a "storage solution" inside the van so the two staffs have a place out of the way. The only little thing for me that is frustrating is switching the turtle legs out back to wheels because those technic pins (?) are super hard to pull out! I have to undo part of the bottom to push them with a brick separater, so I'm mostly leaving it in van mode. Otherwise, very fun and cute!

He especially loved playing with the minifigures and the fun items they came with. I liked how this set comes with instructions on two different ways to complete. It seemed to have added to the building fun! I know he will be on the lookout for more Lego Dreamzzz sets!

As always Lego doesn’t disappoint, instructions were clear to follow. My 5 year old loves is so much, she carries it everywhere with her. Definitely a nice Lego set, works for both girls and boys and looks cute. Worth every penny.
