[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As lifelong fans of anything Harry Potter related, this set was a dream come true! The attention to detail is incredible and although we haven’t finished the final structure yet, it looks absolutely amazing. The instructions were clear and made assembly easy once you get the hang of it all. An absolute must if you love Harry Potter or the Malfoys. Amazing and cannot wait to see the final result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one big Lego set ! Being an avid Harry Potter fan I'm desperate to start this. I love how each packet is labelled making it so much easier to locate the right piece. It is totally in line with the Lego brand and you know the pieces are going to be durable. Definitely not suitable for younger builders due to the quantity and size of all the pieces. But adults get to have fun too, right ? Although the younger people in my house disagree.

I bought this set a few weeks ago on the 3rd of January. I have waited 7 years for this set to release, I have been a Harry Potter super fan for 7 years and counting. This truly is an amazing set. This set pays close attention and detail to the iconic scenes that we see in the movies. First of all let’s talk about the mini figures. Bellatrix Lestrange was beautifully done, face print, leg and torso print were outstanding. The only downside is that I don’t understand why Lego didn’t give Bellatrix a dress instead of legs, the same with Narcissa Malfoy why didn’t they give her legs? Anyway, Narcissa’s hair was perfect, lovely colours. I’m not sure why Voldemort was included in this set, personally I would have preferred to have Fenrir Greyback or Scabior, but I also like having Voldemort in this set at the same time because I can act out the death eater meeting scene. I’m glad Lego didn’t include Ron Weasley as I don’t like him lol, I find him very unpleasant and rude at times. Also, about Draco’s torso, I preferred the one that he came with in the deathly hallows, room of requirement set, but this one works I guess but not as well as the original one did. Apart from a few misconceptions, the minifigures were great. About the side builds, the side builds were brilliant. The Malfoy manor gate is nostalgic and very well thought out. I love how Lego also included Lucius’s white Albino Peacocks, this was a great detail to see as the deathly hallows is my most favourite book of all time. Moving on to the actual Malfoy manor build it self. Before I talk about the actual set I would like to add a theory. I believe that the statue of the man on the exterior, is a statue that represents Armand Malfoy, who was the first Malfoy to ever walk the earth, however I may be wrong but that’s what I think. Anyway, let’s talk about the exterior itself. I really love the decision of using sand and green colours but using a dark grey may have looked better but I like this choice as it is an interesting choice. I also like the little balcony as well, I like how Lego used the skeleton legs to make the scene look more horrifying and torturous. Moving on to the interior. First of all, the dark mark that is hidden underneath the death eater meeting table, was fantastic and a very clever detail. I also like that a cellar was included but I wish that we got more space as you can’t really access it to reimagine the scene from the movie. I also really like the organ build, although it is simple it adds a nice touch and detail to the build. I really like the idea of the kitchen, so that we can pretend Dobby is cooking for the Malfoys. I really like the fireplace by the death eater meeting, this sticker is really cool. Overall, Lego you have done an outstanding job. I am so in love with this set, it looks amazing on display. Thank you so much Lego for finally creating Malfoy manor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved making this set. Massive Harry Potter fan so really enjoyed making this. Was well boxed up, all packets sealed and all parts were present. Easy to follow instructions and doesn't fall apart when you need to move about to add different parts to different pieces already built. Would recommend this set to anyone. There are small parts so maybe keep away from small children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My lot absolutely love Lego and Harry Potter so you can imagine how happy my kids were when they saw this box. My son already has a few of the Harry Potter Lego sets and he was extremely excited to get ready to build this set. He is aged 12 and managed to build this within 3 days of a couple of hours each evening after school. He followed the instructions through and managed to build without many issues. It has 1601 pieces so quite a lot. The set is very detailed and good quality as you can expect from Lego. We did help him with a few bits but I’d say 90% of it he managed himself. The finished result is superb and goes well with his Harry Potter castle he built over Christmas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great fun for the whole family! lego is the perfect toy to do something with children and improve imagination. each block is perfectly made so that it can fit into each part. the instructions are clear, they show step by step what color and pattern of the block to combine with another, thanks to which a perfect pattern is created as in the picture. this is a great product for those who collect lego, this version is highly rated. The blocks are of very high quality so they can serve us for many years. each part is carefully packed and each batch is signed one by one from start to finish. It's great that the child's age is described, which helps to maintain safety from small children, although I think that children have different ideas, so it's better to have eyes in the back of your head. we love to put together lego and such complicated ones are fun for the whole month every free evening for our family ! We love Lego !

The Manor looks great, there's criticism on it's depth but I like how it works either way as a slimline display for collectors or a play set that younger fans can open out a bit more for play. The swivelling stairs are a nice touch towards that and I like how the designers handled difficult structural features like the underground cellar dungeon. While not accurate to the movie, being able to flip the cell bars to barricade the door and open up the downstairs for less nefarious purposes is actually an ingenious touch. The graphic design on the tapestries is gorgeous, it actually shone light on movie set features I hadn't noticed and laying beneath the tapestries is a wonderful tiled emblem which is a secret best discovered during the build. I really like the organ, I remember the original demonstration sketch for the set, I like that that was kept in the design. Some of the more household themed rooms at first seem like unusual inclusions but I feel like this makes it work as a great addition to the wizarding homes line up (with Privet Drive, The Burrow and Grimmauld Place). The peacocks and gargoyle decorated gateway weren't expected but are very welcome extra details for fans with deeper knowledge. Unfortunately some key minifigures really let the finishing touches of the set down. Narcissa was much anticipated and might be the worst minifigure representation we've seen so far in the line. She's a woman in her late 40s and she got given a recycled teenage girl's face from Star Wars. She's one of my favourite characters, yet without the striped hair I wouldn't actually be able to recognise this figure as Narcissa. Lucius and Bellatrix are still not looking great. Bellatrix has a sorely needed and gratefully received new likeness this time (ironically the face she was getting previously would have been perfect for Narcissa) but no other real improvements to offer, the torso has been designed to fit with the inappropriate leg design she was given but that unfortunately means we can't swap the legs for something else. Lucius doesn't look much like he does at this part of the story while Draco also doesn't look much like Draco. Dobby's wonderful, he even has his little trainers; such a cute detail! We also get Harry and Hermione; Harry's stung face in particular is wonderfully designed and a great variant on the many Harrys we've accumulated. Admittedly, I didn't really need Voldemort or Luna to be in here at all. With it being Malfoy Manor, the Malfoys deserved that much needed update, I'm honestly quite baffled that the ones from 15 years ago still look so much better. It feels like a missed opportunity when the Malfoys and Bellatrix will probably never be the main focus of any other set like this one. If you're buying for young minds, they'll love it, this would be a wonderful adventure set, and for anybody whose house is Slytherin the domestic elements of the set give the Slytherin gang some real humanising qualities that Harry Potter's main plot didn't always allow time for. For collectors; if you can get past it being part-playset it's a wonderful and unique piece that really spices up a display and has a surprising amount of versatility in what you can depict. Overall I love the broader spectrum of variety we're seeing in the Harry Potter wave, I personally didn't ever expect to see the Malfoy's Manor finally come to life so that decision is very much appreciated; the set is gorgeous. But please please please some future justice for Bellatrix and Narcissa!

Highly expected and super excited to see this become a reality. Loved this built… a little repetitive with all the windows, but incredibly fun nonetheless. I truly hope that Lego comes out with a Collector’s Edition Manor, because after building it and comparing it the The Burrow Collector’s Edition, I’ve been left wanting more!!

I was very excited when this set was announced, I own a good amount of the Harry potter lego and I've wanted malfoy manor for a long time to complete my collection. It took me about 3-4 hours in total (I watched the whole of the first film and some of the second while building) and was pretty easy. I did notice a slight error in the instructions but it was easy to work around and ultimately I'm very happy with the product

Loved the idea of the manor, not too big for it's price, it could've been a bit wider but still somehow worth every penny. Something new, unusal for the HP universe and a must have set for all collectors. The build was fun, and a nice set to display.

This set seems rushed. I’ve encountered several pieces not sitting flush, as well as the instructions having mismatched photos. Step 149’s photo does not show the pieces added in the previous 6 steps. It’s a beautiful set, but frustrating as an avid builder.
