This was a fun build apart from one of the black rods was missing. Luckily I had a spare in my back up lego. But for the money I would expect all the pieces to be there.

Expensive for what it is and as is normal with every Lego product I have purchased there are always missing pieces and it always takes for ever for them to send missing parts.
What a beautiful set!

I was so excited to get this set. Having missed out on both the ship and carriage first time I was determined to get this as asap and so pleased I did. The ship is impressive and looks so much better than the original. The carriage is a bit smaller than the original but beautifully detailed so I dont mind. The designers did a great job in managing to unite good looks for a display piece and playability. So I think this set will appeal equally to AFOLS and kids alike. Great job, Lego! If I have one criticism is the fact that they put Fleur and Madam Maxine in trousers whereas they featured in dresses before. Please Lego, don't change the beautiful dresses to trousers. You can get trousers anywhere, if we lose the dresses going forward we lose the flexibly to have both and a source of elegant outfits to boot.

This set is the best one from the HP line up this year. We needed this remake and it was done very well. The ship design is so good even though there isn’t much for play features. The price was high, but it works for what we get. A definite recommend even with a few issues.
Love it

I love the Durmstrang ship as it’s impressive in size and details. I really like how the sails look too. Definitely it’s a conversation piece. The Beauxbaton carriage is also pretty neat too.

WOW!!!! We have waited so long for this and Lego nailed it. Saying that, it could have been better. We got the Beauaxbaton carriage, a much better one in 2020ish. I don't know how many pieces were needed to make the new one and the other little unnecessary builds, but those could have been used to make the Durmstrang ship larger. It is smaller than I was hoping for. Still, it looks fantastic and is one of the few things missing from the Lego Harry Potter world. Glad I bought it and might just get another or two to save for the grandkids when they get old enough.

Why is there only one winged horse? While I do like the detail on the ship and think Lego is moving more towards offering less and charging more. The carriage set is half of what the original was.
