My son has been building for years, I’ve probably spent a quarter of my income over the years on legos. Generally he will leave reviews after a build but this one?!? I had to chime in. I’m blown away by the creativity of this set, not to mention the mechanics and Bluetooth integration that provides fun not just for the builder but for anyone who experiences it. Absolutely stunning piece. What would be even better, is if there was additional pieces that could play together! I know I would jump on additional builds to complete the set!

Have to say this was a great experience building this piano. Very easy instructions to follow step by step. Once finished it is beautiful to look at. I have bought lights to go with it and it looks fantastic particularly at night. Only bug bear is through every step it worked with the piano app all parts moving perfectly. Now that I’ve finished the moving parts stop moving like it’s jammed. Such as shame as it looked great when it worked. Still love it though. We have had a black mirrored plinth made to put it on. It is now pride of place in our extension.

This is a fabulous build! The piano keys are built like real piano keys with an attached hammer and damper. The right hand foot pedal also moves the dampers. The piano can be opened and closed just like a real grand. The music stand is adjustable. The sound board has holes in it like a real piano to let the sound resonate. There is red “felt” details like on a real piano. The piano bench moves up and down and it looks like a real tufted cushion. You can have the piano play itself (Listen mode) or you can push the keys and a pre-recorded song plays one note at a time while you push down a key (Play mode). Ideally you would be able to play any song you want, but that would require 25 (the number of keys instead of a regular piano’s 88) different electronic connections. That’s just not feasible. Instead enjoy this wonderfully fun build.

As a pianist for 9 years, this is the first purchase I made with real money, and it was definetely worth it. On the pricier end, I'll admit, but the detail to this is amazing. I will say this is a little more fragile than meets the eye and had some destruction when building it, but end product is absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful model, painful build process.

I was really excited to build this model, but as I got through it I just lost interest the further and further I got into it. This has never happened to me before with a set and I’ve put together hundreds of them. I don’t know what it is, just the building process was not enjoyable. I’d totally display it if I got someone to finish it for me or if I picked it up and completed it later down the road. 7/10

It's a lovely set and is interesting when it works. I was gifted this a present for Christmas in 2024. However my phone being a new phone [S23] is not compatible with the powered up app. It seems only old devices will work. Therefore I cannot see the piano play or move. Which is very upsetting when that is the main point.
Great set but...

Great set but the powered up app doesn't work on my new andoird phone, when you try to download it says that the app was made for OLDER Android versions and I can't download, fix that please, it ruins the experience

This was a fun and exciting build. Was fun to see how the final product would look and play like a real piano. The only negative thing I had was in bag 21 I was given 3 4x2 plates instead of 4 and one extra 4x2 tile. I had extra pieces so it wasn’t an issue. Just wanted to let you know in case it comes up again. Would recommend this set to anyone who likes a challenge and wants something to display.

Lego, since you work with Nintendo IP already, I think its a huge missed opportunity to not have Peaches from the Mario movie available for the piano to play. Especially when many display this with the Mighty Bowser kit, and I've even seen the two paired together in store displays. Please work it out so Peaches is a song option.

Unfortunately if you keep up with technology (aka, buy a newer phone), you cannot even DOWNLOAD the app. Build is OK so far, I guess, but sort of boring. I'd never buy another powered up set ever again if they can't keep the App updated or at least provide another method to use these features. It's not like it's an old set - as long as it's being SOLD in stores currently, apps should be kept up to date. Not everyone keeps old phones or tablets laying around. More than disappointed

At first when I bought that piano for my girlfriend i tought that it was too expensive for a lego set but when i started to build it with her i realized that it’s worth every penny. It is so complex in the inside there is system that i have never seen before. We loved it i totally recommend!!!
