Q: Why is the price for this set (77013) sold by Targeet nearly $20 more than MSRP and other retailers?
submitted by That NJ Guy - 2 years ago
A: The price was swapped in Target's system with the price for 77014 The Temple of Doom, a set that LEGO pulled from the intitial April 2023 lineup and has refused to comment on publicly.
submitted byReleaseLEGO77014 - 2 years agoA: Target finally fixed the price to match the MSRP. Took several people reporting it.

Life long fan of Lego and life long fan of Indiana Jones, so this set is a win for me. Awesome build with lots of play features to recreate an iconic scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark. My only gripe with this set is the use of stickers, but that's just because I can never get them squared up properly.
Lots of fun!

I enjoyed the easter eggs and the build itself was fun. I'm a big Indy fan so this was awesome!
Hinges. Why did it have to be hinges?

I'll get my one criticism with this set out of the way fast. It's difficult to move the set around without the collapsable falling down depending on the angle the set is held at. The Anubis statue has a similar issue, but the structure of its build and its position in the set means it's less likely to break from its own weight not being supported by a surface under the set. That being said, I really like this set otherwise! The Well of Souls (call it a tomb all you like, we know what it is) is a nice update to the original set with even more detail to it and the possibility to extend it if one had the bricks for it. The brick selections? A perfect choice of colors and textures to recreate the ruins, with the hieroglyphics decals bringing to mind not only the original set, but also Pharaoh's Quest and the Adventurers theme, plus the R2-D2 and C-3PO cameos make a nice return. The Anubis statues look much more like the movie and better convey the size of the place, unlike the original set, which was much smaller. The Ark makes a wonderful return to LEGO after only being a gold treasure chest in most of the old Raiders sets, with the smaller but still identifiable appearance and details looking very good. The minifigures are also very nice. Marion Ravenwood gets a very good overhaul in terms of design, complete with dual-printed legs and a new hair piece closer to her style in the movie. Indy is fine as well, with the torso from the Golden Idol temple, but the head from the Fighter Plane Chase. Sallah finally gets his own minifigure after being a game-only character for years, and he looks great. The mummy is decently detailed. There's nothing wrong with the design, and there were mummies in the movie, but it really doesn't feel especially needed for the set. Still a good addition regardless.
The interactivity is amazing!!

When I saw the 3 Indy sets, I knew we had to get them! This one is so interactive for how relatively small it is! The wife and I geeked out the whole time we built this set (you'll notice a trend in my reviews)!

My first ever Indiana Jones set was the original Lost Tomb set. It clearly holds a place near and dear to my heart, so I was apprehensive when I heard Lego was remaking it. Fortunately, Lego managed to deliver a set that exceeded even my wildest expectations, and more importantly, we got a Sallah minifigure!

This set would be so much more enjoyable to build if there weren't so many missing pieces.

I loved the movie and I really love the action built into this Lego set. Extra attention to details like the falling statue, my favorite characters as minifigs, the slithering snakes in the wall, and a mummy, too!

Fun build and compared to other Lego sets around the same size (amount of pieces) the value is top notch. The only knock on it is it’s for play not display so if you want to put it with the Tenple of the Golden Idol it looks kind of off unless you build a matching base for it. Overall it’s an easy A though.

This was the first Lego set I have had since childhood, and Indiana Jones fan that I am I decided to splurge on this set for my birthday. Putting this set together was a fun experience as I relieved not only the movie but also the happy memories I had putting together other Lego sets as a child. Not only does this set look good and is fun to play with for myself and my children (who I hope to also make Indy fans) but it's price is a steal when you compare it to the costs of other Lego sets with similar appeal. I soon collected the other 2023 Lego Indiana Jones sets, and hope for more to be released in the future.

Lego has really knocked it out of the park with this wave, great sets, great minifigures, and great prices all around. This set in particular is a vast improvement over the original, with so much attention to detail to make it more movie accurate. I definitely hope we see more Lego Indy in the future.

I bought this set to sit alongside the Temple of Doom set. The build is pretty straightforward and it's a display piece for me, which is why I low scored the build and play experience. The drop plate at the rear of the model is a bit wasted unless you are playing with the set. You simply can't see it when it's on display. I agree with the person who said sand coloured snake clips would be be better. I'm not a fan of stickers, even more so with worsening eye sight, but they do add to the great look of the set. Overall it's a great addition to the Indy theme and very good value for money.

It is a great set with great details and characters. I love the falling over anubis statue that knocks down the wall just like in the movie. The one thing I would change is to have the arms of the anubis statues down instead of up.

Perfect set! I haven't enjoyed building a set like this in a long time! The amount of details built in is incredible! From snakes on the floor, to the column collapsing, and the mummy tomb behind it, this set 100% matches the scene in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'. For both collectors and kids alike, this set is tons of fun to build and play with! Just be careful to not open the Ark...
