Beautiful Product

As someone just getting into LEGOs, tackling this was no joke even with my girlfriend. We managed to complete it in just under 5 hours together and we both had our ups and downs during it, making sure to crosscheck each other's work before moving on. Once completed, it was absolutely magnificent to look at. It does seem a bit slow for what it could be, and that was a little disappointing, but then again it is just so beautiful to look at! Absolutely recommended for many car enthusiasts or someone wanting to tackle their next LEGO build!
Looks great, fun to build, but it doesn't perform.

This set looks cool, but its performance and strength are underwhelming. One of the technic beams in the rear of the vehicle collapsed after the car repeatedly backed into an obstacle, and the piece's counterpart is showing signs of stress. This vehicle has minimal torque, so if you want a car that will be able to drive on rough terrain, this is not it. However, if you only want to drive it inside, I would recommend this set.

Challenging build at times, but worth it. Lots of decals, I mean a lot, 2 full large sheets. Driving functions are easy to learn and the sound effects from the smart device control make it a better experience. Wish it came with lights (like the Porsche GT4 e-performance kit) There are aftermarket kits that I’ll be adding later
Great build but could be a little faster

The set was filled with interesting details such as the circular gear racks, it was pretty fast, but maybe there could have been a 1:5 gear ratio instead of a 2:1 gear ratio which would have made it faster.
What a superb build, play, and overall experience!

I purchased the LEGO Audi RS Q e-tron (42160) is superb! The build was a joy and I was excited to complete it in just a 24-hour period while on vacation. Total build time was approximately 8 hours. I look forward to many hours of driving this set around the yard and in various settings!
Have not built it yet/

It does not work as remote control car. The wheels are spinning fast in the air, but once I place this car on the floor, the wheels not spinning well so it won't drive. Lego asked a lot of questions when I asked for help, such as what brand and which version of the phone I am using, or the brand name of the batteries I use for this car, are they all new? and how many of the batteries (!) If it is working only with particular phone or particular brand batteries, it should be stated on the package. Huge disapointment

Too heavy to drive

After completing the product we wanted to drive it, but it turns out the vehicle is too heavy for the engine. The motor and controls works, but it doesn't have enough torque to move the car. We also tried replacing all batteries with brand new Duracell batteries. My son got super disappointed... 😢

Hmm, something doesn't sound right! A bit of rebuilding might be in order, while making sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions. It's also super important that the gears have extra room to turn. If that doesn't get it moving, reach out at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can help!

This is a very advanced in unique product. I'm not aware of any other motorized Lego that could be controlled for the app on your phone. Building is not for the beginner or even the average Lego enthusiast. This is a difficult vehicle to build and you really need to use your three-dimensional skills and study The diagrams and pictures to build it correctly. I had one of the front wheel hubs on upside down as I didn't realize from the picture that they could be oriented with the two tabs towards the top or towards the bottom in the car was sitting on an angle, and the suspension was not working symmetrically. It took quite a while, but I finally figured it out, I have not finished the product and tried it with the app so I really can't comment on how much fun it'll be to drive and how much control you'll actually have over speed and turning in maneuvering.
Runs decent = good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looks great and a very fun but challenging activity you can do with your children especially older children from ages 10 and above. This activity can be a fun way to get children off technology and put their brains to work! However it may be a little too challenging for children under 10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happily surprised to be chosen for this review. My nine year old ASD son LOVES all things cars and Lego and was super eager to get started. We tackled the build together, I was the assistant. He has just recently learned to build Lego by himself by following the books instructions and is usually ok to work autonomously. This build was huge and looked daunting to us both. He needed help as there were literally thousands of tiny pieces and his fine motor skills are not strong enough. He set aside time each day to add a bit more and was so proud of himself (as was I) to complete the task. It's a great product and task for quality bonding time. He was scared to drive it outside for fear of it crashing into 1000s of pieces after all his hard work. Possibly a little too complicated for those who haven't had a lot of Lego experience. Very impressive looking product and I would definitely recommend to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was exciting to try out. The detail is amazing and its really well constructed. Some parts in the booklet was very difficult to understand so the app was needed on several occasions. There was one part that I put on incorrectly but then had a hard time pulling it apart (it should not have allowed me to incorrectly put it on) Once built, I tried it out by batteries in it (takes 6) and the steering did not work on my phone at first but then tried on my wife's phone and it worked. The vehicle does not go as fast as I would have liked it. Lacks speed and steering ability. Overall I really enjoyed making this with my kids. I did most of the building as they got bored and lost concertation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 11 year older received this Lego to play from.home tester club and i am in exchange giving my honest review. This is not just any static lego that child builds upon and then play after. But with every step towards built next level excitement and energy kept popping up for my kid as he tried. My kid not only played with rally car and out his skills to test. This lego Audi RS Q e-tron represents many features like real life car which helps my kid navigate the harsh desert conditions of Dark Rally. It's such a fun buildable adventure with Engineering mind to put work to test. He built it all in stipulated time as instructions were so clearly laid out. Once done, was so over the moon for final product and after installing the control app on digital device, all he wanted was to try it out with and without obstacles. Precisely, I'd day it is a great adventure and fun learning toy gift for your kids who are young yet energetic, loves to play ye

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I constructed this technic logo with my 10 year old child.taking approx 14hrs of construction time it was quite an undertaking. Product is enjoyable to construct however gets quite hard to follow in the later stages.my 10 year old would have struggled without an adult. It's rated 8 Years plus.being remote control and motorised is pretty cool. Worth the $rrp in my opinion.
Lack power and remote controller support.

Very underpowered even with fresh battery. For the life of me I cannot pair this with a power up remote controller or any controller at all. My kid does not have a smart phone which is a problem using the app.

For best results, we recommend using 6 brand-new AA batteries. If you're experiencing power or connection issues, visit LEGO.build/Service-BV to connect with an expert so we can help troubleshoot and get you back on the road!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly a super fun build and cool that it's also a remote control car, but I think a 10-year-old would really struggle with this. I would recommend to anyone over the age of 12, at least.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i bought it, i was excited and ready to build. The building experience is amazing. However the cars offroad ability and speed is very slow. It cant ride over GRASS easily. I wished for the battery life was better as I only got 1hr and 20 minutes of proper drive time. However the suspension makes up for everything. ITS AMAZING. Its bigger and looks a lot better than all RC cars on the market
