Description
Embark on a journey to the Moon with this detailed LEGO Technic NASA model for adults (42182). The space set includes a displayable model version of the lunar rover module carried by Apollo 17, plus 3 attachable equipment sets. Unfold the NASA rover, add the equipment and test out the steering and suspension while imagining what it would be like to complete moonwalks and gather lunar samples. Check out the model battery pack, which includes heating and cooling elements, plus a TV camera with antennas. Explore the communications unit, try out tools that include a shovel and drill and find LEGO Moon rock elements. The set also features the Traverse Gravimeter Experiment carried by Apollo 17, plus a tribute to Big Muley – the largest rock sample to have been brought to Earth by the Apollo program. First Technic set I've built in about 45 years! I've been fascinated by NASA and space since a child and this set has so many subtle and clever design elements. Its also increased my knowledge of the Lunar Rover design and the equipment they carried. Hugely satisfying to build and put on display - a study in creative mindful activity in a busy and unpredictable world.

This set is an absolute joy. My youngest enjoyed the layers of the Aft Pallet Assembly the most. Kudos to the designers. The attention to detail and post-assembly playability is remarkable.

Easy to assemble but a good amount of challenge. Easy to work through the instructions with the usual numbered bags. It’s great that Lego has included spares of the usual small pieces that go missing when you open a bag. Good quality stickers for the pieces which is a nice change to some kits I have had previously. 5/5 on this one and will certainly look for another one to match!

Although it has almost 2,000 pieces, it is extremely well organized and packaged with detail. The booklet is very precise and the steps are clear for even a beginner builder. Each bag is numbered clearly and the prices are made with excellent quality, as with all Lego sets. I’m very impressed with the dimensions and look forward to many nights building. I would highly recommend this Lego set.

This is a challenging and rewarding build and is not one you will have completed in a weekend. It comes with functional steering, suspension and deployable equipment for interactive fun. It looks sturdy but some sections feel a bit delicate when handling. This model is a great representation of the iconic moon buggy. With over 500 pieces, this set is perfect for more experienced LEGO builders.

Assembly wasn't too hard although there were almost 2,000 pieces. My husband and I were able to get it done in a couple hours . It's super durable and I think it could be played with although we're just going to put it on our shelf to show off. Can't wait to build more cool Lego things!

Inside the box, you get an instruction booklet and 12 numbered packets for each step of construction. I found the base a little complicated but got there in the end! Took me around an hour and a half per packet just over 18 hours in total to complete. Looks amazing once finished and very realistic.Perfect for adult Lego collectors and space enthusiasts. It's very durable, and the suspension is great!

Is very safe for adults not recommended for children . Brilliant durability.

Did not expect this Lego to be so big. It will take me a while normally to finish such a big lego but because of how good has been packed with lots of envelopes that each one of them has a number on si you will know exactly which one to open and how to start because of the manual that it comes with. If you follow instructions won’t be as extra difficult. This was more like a family happy hour ( good few hours not only one) 😂

I started by myself, but then my kids saw it and they jumped in. A week later, my parents came and joined us. 3 generations of my family spent 3 hrs to built this. Of course, we couldn’t finish, but we made some progress and had fun! As expected from LEGO, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. There are always some rooms for creation.
