Summary of reviews
The Porsche 911 Technic set offers a challenging yet rewarding building experience, perfect for car enthusiasts and LEGO fans alike. While the intricate design and mechanical details impress, the lack of numbered bags can make the assembly process time-consuming. Guests appreciate the fun of building moving parts and the overall aesthetic of the completed model. Despite some minor issues, this set is highly recommended for those who enjoy a detailed and engaging build.

Beautiful set, but...

My 13 year old have received this as a Xmas gift and he is pretty good at this. We have bought other sets that are 18+ and had sucessfully build them all, but this set does not come with numbered bags as the 18+ sets, which makes me think, it should be the opposite: 10+ set should come with numbered bags as opposed to 18+. Basically you need to open all the bags at once to find your pieces. This is the only negative thing about this set.
Parts Missing

The model was fun to build with two glaring exceptions. First, all parts came in two big bags with smaller bags included in the big bags. This required two big bins to separate the big pieces from the small pieces. Much less convenient than the more sophisticated Technic models. Second, two large pieces of bodywork and two small soft pipe pieces were missing resulting in added expense and effort to order the pieces. I expect better from LEGO having built four of the large Technic kits.

My 11 year old son loves Lego. The Land Rover was a present 2 years ago and since then he has bought the Peugeot, Mercedes F1 and now the Porsche 911, with his own money. It has been a great Lego experience until the 911. We ordered online and the box wasn’t in mint condition (some won’t care, but this is all part of the experience). The instruction book had the first page detached (some won’t care, but again, this is the experience) and unlike the other sets, the bags aren’t numbered so you have to open everything! This means Lego is scattered everywhere, there is a fear of losing pieces and build experience isn’t the usual brilliant Lego experience. I’d definitely recommend all his other Lego sets before this 911.

We're sorry to hear your box was damaged when delivered, and that part of the building instructions was not complete. If you haven't already, give us a call or chat at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can take a closer look.

Must open all bags to start. Searching for parts is really time consuming. Thus the low ratings on review

This is a fun build. The little pieces ,ight see, intimidating but it wasn’t that bad. It was really cool building the inside of the car and watching it grow, especially being able to build the moving parts within the car. Really enjoyed this one!

This was my first lego technic set, I’m stunned that it’s still a product here! Overall pretty good build, lots of stickers but expect that with race cars, good attention to mechanical details. The picture is kinda bad but the set was accidentally disassembled long ago and it’s the only picture I have.

The build is challenging but fun to complete. It will fit in with a racing theme. Sometimes instructions are vague but they can be figured out if you build often.

Good build, only negative I would say is the ride height is too high. I note there seems to be some adjustments that people have made to make it sit lower, which may be worth exploring.

Its was a good build but hate how the pieces were all separate from each other. Having to open every bag just to find one small piece was annoying.

When it comes to Technic sets, this is one of those you MUST be willing to spend some extra time and brain power on. Comparing to a set like the Peugeot 9X8, the Porsche was more of an archaic adventure. 1st, none of the bags are sorted or numbered with the instructions. So you must open and hand sort all of your parts manually. 2nd, many of the instructions image examples were very tricky to see which resulted in the need to disassemble and flip back several pages to correct the misplace parts. 3rd, the overall completed build was decent but the mechanics don’t work right after completion. For example, the gears that connect the engine to the gear box grind when the car is rolled. Though when the wheels are hand spun, it appears to operate fine. For the price and part count, it’s clear why this set was so much less than the Peugeot. In comparison, the Peugeot was one of the most pleasurable and satisfying builds I’ve works on to date. This Porsche, it’s neat, cool looking when done but I would never do it again.

The person that made this Lego has failed on a huge level. The bags are not numbered and you must open every bag and then organize them which is difficult to do this build in 1 day for my son. This is an oversight and very annoying that the bags are not separated so you can build a bag or 2 without having them all over the place.

Love the real life version of this car, so to have a technic version of it was a must have. It was good until i found i was missing a piece though. I was very organised with all the pieces so i’d like to think I didn’t lose it, but things like that happen. So i am yet to complete the set but once i find/recieve the missing piece it’ll be a relief to get it done.
