I will say that while working, the purifier was nice and did as it said. However, the longevity of this device does suck. I bouight mine in 2021, shortly after moving into my new apartment. Mine took a crap while I was on vacation with no warning of it malfuncitoning in any way. While I was in the market for a purifier, I saw that many people endured what I did in that no ones lasted more than 2 or 3 years. It's honestly comical considering the warranty last only2 years. Buy another brand. Not worth it, even on sale in my opinion.

I really want to like this company and its products, but I can't afford to replace these every 2-3 years. I had the same issue as others are reporting. I've had mine for almost 3 years and it's suddenly having all sorts of electrical problems. They recommended having it serviced by a third party. I recommend finding a company that will produce devices that will last, even if it's worth shelling out a little more at time of purchase.

I loved my air purifier until it unexpectedly stopped working overnight. It was purchased in Sept. 2020 so has lasted for nearly 3 years. After reading product reviews from so many people who experienced the same issue after 2 - 3 years of operation guess I need to add that I've had the same experience. It seems like the product was designed with a 2 year shelf life. It's very disappointing. I was considering purchasing another Levoit product but now think I'll try another company.

I purchased this air purifier in 2020 and just like many of the other reviews here, it stopped working after 2yrs. I guess I should feel lucky, mine almost made it to 3yrs, but fell short by several weeks. That's sad to say, especially after I had just purchased a bundle of replacement filters. I regularly changed my filters, kept the unit clean, and recently, when I tried to turn it on, there was power, but no response. I followed all of the recommended troubleshooting tips, and nothing. The light came on, but the touch screen would not work at all. It was great while it lasted and I really liked this purifier; but, I am very hesitant to purchase another of the same brand after seeing so many negative reviews with the same results.

We bought 4 all are dead within 1-2 years. Avoid products from Levoit simple as that. Red light or does not even turn on. All died around the same time. Some have red light, some no light - pure garbage.

Fixed the power issue myself open up case cut the cold from power supply to the control panel and splice the two outer wires together, fixed problem gets fan spinning when u plug in and out

Like most people this product worked for a bit over 2 years. I unplugged it and changed the filters and then it wouldn’t come back on. The control panel stopped working and multiple lights were on. I had just purchased a multipack of filters as well.

I had this air purifier for 4 months now and I love it. We have 2 other purifiers and this is by far the quietest. I have it set in the 2nd speed and placed near our drafty door. Replacing the filter clearly shows how much of the Vegas dust it picks up. Add bonus: we had a gnat infestation with the purchase of a new plant. This air purifier sucked those gnats right in and captured them in the filter. And the filter is so easy to change.

Stopped working. I changed the filters, cleaned the sensor lens, and pressed rhe reset button for 3 seconds. But the "change filter" light is still on, and the unit will not start. LOTS of people are reporting the same problem. Do not buy.

We purchased 7 of these and I believe 5 of them have quit working. Although I absolutely love the product, I can’t recommend them due to the short life span. We’ve tried everything to get them going again, but no luck.

Like everyone else, it just stopped working. None of the buttons respond. I get bad hayfever and asthma, so spent more than I could afford on this unit. Really disappointed in Levoit.

Bought this product in Nov of 2018and it worked great until today. I did a filter change surface cleaning of the unit as I have done many times before. I plugged the unit in and it won't turn on. The red power LED is on but the touch panel is not responding. I have tried resetting it by pressing power and the filter reset botton at the same time for 20 to 25 seconds and nothing.

I purchased your products too many. since your products came with 3 are Wi-Fi control, 7 of them are not Wi-Fi capable . But 2 others broken at the same time today One was few years ago The other one was Wi-Fi capable 2021 purchased Broken. I couldn’t believe it. Overall your products are unreliable and Very short life. Less than 5 years. Maybe 3 years at most. Very disappointed. And feeling deceived.

Failed after warranty expired

Purifier worked until right after 2 yr warranty expired. With the previous filter change the filter reset didn’t work so the filter light was always on. When I did a recent filter change the unit acts like it’s going to turn on but it doesn’t respond. I tried the reset. That doesn’t work either. This was an expensive purchase. I have two other Levoit styles that are working well but I worry they will do the same. Levoit needs to stand behind their products. Looks like they have a lot of disappointed customers.

Same issue as many have listed here. Dead after the 2 years warranty. Red power on but does not start. Tried all the proposed fixes and nothing worked. I bought the unit based on Levoit reputation as one of the best in the game. Very disappointed.

Design Flaw

Was both surprised and disappointed when my LV PUR-131 suddenly stopped working after 2 years. Came to this web site and was interested to see that out of a total of 52 reviews for this model - 23 are 1star, 14 are 2 star, 12 are 5 star and none are 4 star. So a total of 12 Positive and a whopping 37 Negative ! (really 40 Negative as the 3 three star ratings are awful as well) It's impressive that Levoit is willing to disclose the mountain of negative feedback. Also impressive are some Customer Service replies to this feedback, replies such as : "Although we do have a maximum manufacturer's warranty of 2 years WE STAND BY OUR PRODUCTS and would be happy to see what we can do" But what does that actually mean? Pragmatically - I would hope in my case, it results in replacement of my unit even though failure occurred AFTER expiration of the Warranty period - because it was purchased ***BEFORE*** a design flaw causing the failures this model was suffering had been fixed. Apparently that correction was made about a year ago...... Inherent in the company's 2 Year Warranty is an assumption that one is not buying something with a structural fault. Apparently I had bought a defective product.since the design issue hadn't yet been fixed.. Replacement of my purchase should not be subject to the 2 year Warranty. Shouldn't the time constraint of the contractual obligation be nullified due to the manufacturer's discovery and subsequent rectification of the design flaw.? Time limits in Warranties are predicated upon an assumption that the Buyer isn't being sold a defective product by the Manufacturer. Because of this I'm hopeful the 2 year warranty will not preclude a replacement I look to the Company to stand not only by their products - but also by their loyal customers. Will they ? ???????????
