Q: I don't have cable just a 1080 tv. can I still get Netflix and play blue ray and dvd without having my own WiFi ? Or do I a certain cable?

A: Hi, Deon Overtom! Regarding your question about the LG Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi - BP350: For Netflix, you need to have the subscription and have internet at home to access it. If you're using the Blu-ray player to play discs then you're fine. Your TV needs to have an HDMI connection. Get an HDMI cable to connect this to your TV if you get it! It constantly pops up to connect to the internet when it is (or it truly never connects). You can’t get through a movie without it popping up at a minimum of 5 times. It quits playing sound randomly.

While this Blu-ray player cannot remove the screen saver function, you can adjust it so it knows to power down the unit after being idle for 15 minutes. If you turn the screen saver "off," it will still show the screen saver display until it is used again. Remote doesnt work. LG sent me another one that doesnt work. Only reason I havent returned is bc you can download the LG remote app and thats how I control it. Ridiculous that 2 remotes dont work LG. So plan on downloading the app.

1.Played DVDs and Blu rays but always froze during playback. 2.Streaming was horrible. While it had the streaming services I wanted, Netflix Prime etc. streaming would freeze during playback 3. Although it included a remote, the only way to operate the device was to download an app off the LG website. Otherwise Netflix and Blu rays would not play. Spent hours having to unplug and plug device back in. Had to reenter my wifi password Everytime I turned the device on

Although the box says "Enjoy content from additional streaming services." it comes preloaded with Prime Video and Netflix and does not allow additional streaming services to be added. Disappointing.

Buyer beware note! I came back to the product listing to double check and turns out I was wrong. I thought this would come with an HDMI cable, I was wrong. Again, this does NOT come with an HDMI cable. I hooked up the unit to an LG C1 oled tv and it played a blu ray fine.
