Lionel Thomas and Friends Battery O Gauge Set

I purchased the Lionel Thomas and Friends Battery O gauge set for my son, Thomas, for his 4th birthday. It looks great in the box and he was super excited to open it. We were not as excited to find out that it came broken in the box. The black plastic roof above the battery compartment wasn't glued down and was loose in the box. Then the nut for the battery compartment came out of the engine, making it impossible to close the battery compartment. It's also disappointing that Thomas looks like the Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go! version but sounds like the original Thomas and Friends. On a better note, my four year old loves it despite it's flaws. I hope Lionel can make it right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Omg this is the most beautiful thing I ever had and it’s the perfect thing for my Christmas tree my kids loved this train my younger one make this and had amazing memories with this tree around the Christmas tree and it looks soo beautiful and perfect in that corner . I wish I had this earlier but it’s still not to late to have this . Cherish every moment with my family and friends and it make and look my house more beautiful. It’s soo easy to assemble and amazingly it’s very compatible too and loved how durable it is and more importantly the train noise level is not too loud or too slow it’s just perfect overall .

I haven’t bought a Lionel product in decades but I was pleased to find the quality is still built in. A good bang for the buck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's perfecr gift for my nephew in Xmas. He loves Thomas. The train's light and smoke and sound affects are so great. It's easy to assemble with my nephews. The material doesn't feel cheap. It has a switch also. Very easy to store.

My kids absolutely love it and have so much fun playing with it. The train set is very well-made, and the details are impressive, bringing an authentic experience to our playtime. One thing to note is that the train can come off the tracks if it’s running at a high speed, but as long as we keep it at a moderate pace, it works beautifully. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lionel Mattel Thomas and Friends Battery O Gauge set and it is the the cutest toy ever but it does take a lot of batteries or should I say it kills the batteries very quickly. Toddler approved!

Thomas himself is a fantastic model with the only downside being he has no coal in his bunker, the controller too is great. Once we get to everything else I start to have problems Annie and Clarabel are great and light weight but them having the same face is kinda annoying since I have no idea which one is which without nameplates (which I know is a decision of Mattel and not Lionel, but still needed to be mentioned) the track yes is easy to put together however, for the life of me, I could not get it to connect perfectly, and some tracks would be a little off to make the whole figure 8 work. And the accessories that come in the set are just cheap Chinese molds and aren’t Thomas related at all but since they’re insignificant, I don’t think it brings it down too much And with Thomas‘s faces, his smug look is fantastic, but the smiling and determined looking faces are pretty mid and the super happy face is downright terrifying. Even though I majorly talked about the Bads I genuinely think that this set is worth it. Maybe it could be a little cheaper but we all know the economy we’re currently living in definitely an 8/10 and good for younger children.

I love this new Lionel Thomas model The last time we had a Thomas model made by line that was almost 4 years ago and now they’re back! I love how it looks so close to the actual animated show I feel like the only problem is that the voice lines for the train are the old CGI Voice from the old TV show. But overall, great product recommended!!!

I bought this as soon as it was on pre order. The voice is the old style voice but still strangely fits the new style of Thomas, the speaker volume isn't too loud or quiet. I love the faces, especially the joker smile and the determined face. This new range exceeds expectations if the instructions are hinting at a general style and diesel locomotives in the future, I can't wait.
