A: The Lodge Enamel Cookware is not non stick. You will need to add oil and heat slowly to prevent sticking.

A: Yes, the enamel Dutch oven can be used on electric glass stove top. We ask that you pick the cookware up do not slide and always start on low heat, slowly working up your temperature.

A: The Pot Protectors come inside the box with the Dutch Oven. They are used around the rim of the base of the dutch oven while the product is not in use to prevent the lid from chipping the base. They are only to be used during storage, not during cooking.

I love this product and use it all the time. Bought it from Target to give as a gift, and the first one arrived damaged because it was the only item in the box, the box was larger than the dutch oven, and there was NO packing material inside the box (no paper, bubble wrap, etc.)! They processed the replacement quickly and easily. But, when the replacement arrived, it was in the same packaging configuration (only item in a large box with NO packing material). Luckily, it did not appear damaged. So, beware of ordering this item from Target because they will not package it properly and who knows how many replacements you'll need.

I have used lodge cast iron for many years and have always been pleased with both their form and function. This 7.5 quart Dutch oven is a Christmas present so my review will only apply to appearance. It is gorgeous! The color is a true red with darker red accents. I wish I were keeping it for myself!

I have used this one time. I went to use it again and noticed chips along the edge even though I used the clips to prevent chipping. Then noticed the enamel had "bubbles" but the enamel just continued to chip off. Very dissappointed.

2 attempts to use this and there will not be a third. This not my first time cooking. Lesson learned. Enameled does not equate to Non-Stick. Everything you will try to make from stew, to soups to potatoes will stick and burn to the bottom. Even on low to moderate heat. If you like weight lifting and scrubbing pots this would be the one for you.

I bought this pot in red at target over 10 years ago and it’s still turning out awesome meals. It’s made so well. I just can’t say enough. Every now and then I think about getting a Le Cr…you know the brand and I think why? This pot is a fraction of the cost of those and performs perfectly!

This item is second only to the Lodge 6 qt Dutch Oven also available at Target! Used when a larger quantity of soup, stew, chili, spaghetti sauce is made. Braises the meat like no other pot or skillet. Oven safe, just don't use metal utensiles.
