Q: Do you need a center bracket I wanted it for my sliders and with middle bracket I can't close it all the way
A: I have two windows in my bedroom, different sizes. I purchased two brackets. I purchased curtains (same style for both windows). Each bracket has a curtain at each end. The smaller window didn't require a center bracket. The wider window required the center bracket but it doesn't hinder the curtains from closing nicely. Very good looking brackets, worth the purchase.

submitted byUmbra Expert - 5 years agoBrand expertA: I guess it depends on how wide the window is. Mine is about 36" and it doesn't need a center bracket.

Q: Are the brackets made of steel?
A: They are made of metal but I'm not sure if it is steel. They are very durable though.
submitted byBrandy - 7 years agoA: The brackets are made of the same material as the rod. I dunno if it is steel but it is metal and it won't break easily if that is what you are worried about. I love this curtain rod for the wrap around privacy.

Q: Would you be able to install this as a ceiling mounted curtain rod?
A: I would not advise it. It's strong enough, but I'm not sure it would give you enough clearance between the ceiling and the rod.
submitted byAlmostcurmudgeon - 8 years agoA: We installed one on the ceiling to help divide the guest room from the home office. Works great.
submitted byhalofriendly - 4 years agoA: shouldn't be a problem.

Q: Is it difficult to take the curtains on and off for washing with this style? Would you have to unscrew one of the sides every time? Thinking grommet style curtains so concerned about potential hassle.
A: Yes, you do need to unscrew the rod to take the curtains on and off. I only unscrew one side to slide the curtains on. I don't find it to be a hassle, it's worth it to have the curtain to wrap around the sides. I changed all the curtain rods in my house to this style.
submitted byDonna - 7 years agoA: The center rod unscrews easily. I am very pleased

Q: Does the longer rod (48-88") have a third/center anchor/support?
A: Yes, but with little weight curtains I didn't need it.
submitted byMe - 8 years agoA: Yes. It's hook shaped.

Q: Would this curtain rod work with grommet type curtains?
A: I think so, as long as the opening is big enough. I used curtains that had a little tab on the back of them.
submitted byTxmom72 - 8 years agoA: Yes! It is perfect for grommet curtains.

Q: Is the center bracket adjustable? I need more than 3" for the center bracket because of how my windows are designed
A: Hello Bill, Thank you for your question. Yes, there is a center bracket included, but it is not adjustable.
