Any mattress used in this bed shall be a full-size crib mattress at least 51 5/8 in (1310mm) in length, 27 1/4 in (690mm) in width and a max thickness of 6 in (150 mm). In addition, we test for 10,000 chemicals including over 1,000 specific regulated chemicals of concern to ensure the safety of your child. However, we do know that some consumers can be sensitive to the new odor smell of freshly finished wood. Therefore, we recommend that you return your furniture to the retailer to obtain a refund.

the bed itself is great, easy to assemble, sturdy and very preatty, however the reviews about the bad smell are right. we had to put out all the peices in the backyard for a few days so it can air out, that is how bad it was. even after airing it out, it still smells though much better.

I really wanted to just take off the front of my daughter’s (3 years old) crib and put an inexpensive rail in the front but that didn’t work out. Instead of spending $100 on the rail that goes with the crib, I decided to purchase this bed. I am so glad I did. It is very cute and looks just like my daughter’s crib. She loves her new bed and can’t wait to sleep in it. My husband said it was a little annoying to put together. It took him a little less than 2 hours to take apart her crib and put the bed together.

Very easy to put together, love that it’s the two tone, more importantly I love that it’s the toddler bed of the crib I have. Getting my hands on this particular bed in white has been a challenge have been trying for over a month. Once I got it though it was like Christmas. I recommend this bed to anyone who likes quality and affordability because to me it’s both.

I bought this bed last year in February/March 2023 and it’s held up pretty well for my oldest toddler who was 2 at that time. As of today, She’s a 3.5 year old preschooler and it hasn’t broken down yet. The directions were easy to follow and there were no cons. I was able to set the entire bed up on my own without help from my husband. I’m back on here looking to purchase a 2nd one for my second child who just turned 2 years old. That’s strange that it has a smell because when I purchased it from the store there was no smell.

The negative reviews are true. No way this should pass Greenguard Gold standards, this thing is definitely putting off toxic fumes. It smells like fresh cheap spray paint. I think the Greenguard claim may be false. We are taking it back and wish Target carried a better option. We ended up buying a Graco brand toddler bed off of Wayfair to replace this one and we couldn't be happier. The Graco bed is Greenguard certified and has NO SMELL. Shipping from Wayfair took 3 days and it will take us longer to take the Delta Children bed back to Target with 2 little ones than that. We are not typically order online people, but in this case, the inferior product available locally forced us to and we are glad we chose not to settle. This is a little kids' bed after all, and paint fumes are no good. If the claim that one out of every two children sleep on Delta Children products is true, that is pretty concerning. Hopefully, Target will drop Delta Children brand and carry a name brand bed like Graco.

So after the mixed reviews, I went ahead and bought it to see/smell for myself. The chemical smell is from the wood and because of the wood this frame is made out of, it’s easy to strip it and damage it. Giving it a 4 because some of the parts of the frame are crooked from the screws & the instructions were confusing, but overall it’s very durable for our toddler.

Love the style/design of the bed and seems well made but as others have said, there is definitely a smell! We opened it and left it in our screened in porch for over a week before assembly due to the smell. Overall, our toddler loves it and we will be keeping it!

This toddler bed was simple to put together based on the pictures, but the word directions were not quite as easy. Once I stopped trying to read the instructions and focused solely on the pictures it only took about 30 minutes to put together. The add title says this is Logan wood, but it is actually a combination of wood parts and particle board parts, so not worth the selling price, but the bed is functional and sturdy enough for a small child to sleep on - just make sure they don't hop and jump on it. The side rails are necessary to hold the headboard in place otherwse it is very wobbly. The bed is put together with bolts and cylinder nuts that must be lined up inside of holes for the bolts to screw into, so you will need a flat tip screw driver to help line up the hole in the nut. A Philips screw driver is also required for some very small screws that hold the mending plates on either rail in place. There are 2 short rails that connect together to make up each full sized side rail. It is important to make sure the holes on each board is facing the right direction. Thin wooden slats are used for the foundation that supports the wattress. This bed uses a standard full size crib mattres of 27" wide. Over all, I like the general style, but not the cheap particle board materials. I would buy this again if it had a lower price. If money and value are not an issue for you, and your child is not a jumper then this is a quaint little starter bed.
