This Loopdeloom Weaving Loom Kit came in lovely packaging and contained a plastic loom for projects up to 7 inches, a ball of variegated yarn, and instructions. Setting up the loom wasn't difficult after reading the instructions, but my 8 year old struggled to do it on her own. The weaving back and forth was fun and satisfying, and my daughter loved flipping the switch back and forth after each row. We struggled with the warp strings coming off their guides, and we had to undo our weaving several times after making mistakes. We also pulled the edges too tight a few times, warping our final project. The packaging shows many adorable projects, but only has instructions for a basic weave. We decided to make a purse, but had to improvise the details. Overall we enjoyed the loom, but it will take a lot of practice before we can make anything as cute as the ones on the packaging!

She loved that it was easy to set up, and that the process was simple to catch on to. After a few rows, she was already feeling confident and really enjoyed it. She designed and made a small beanie hat trinket with a pocket in it as her first project, but is already planning what to make next. Definitely a fun craft, and the possibilities are endless as to what you can create.

This was an activity I've never tried before, but my daughter has, but in a different format. We were a bit nervous at first, but the setup was easy! While the directions were clear, we watched the introduction video which helped. Once we were setup, she started looking away. We decided on making a little purse to hold important items (especially as she is starting middle school next year and will be switching classes without constant access to a locker and no backpack). The color yarn that came with the kit is cute. It's soft and well made (didn't untwist as we were manipulating it). It's basic yarn that you can find anywhere which is nice that it's not product specific. In the beginning, sometimes a loop would fall out, but we learned that if you look closer to the top, while tugging the bottoms of the loops strings, it stays in place until a foundation is made. It just could've been us considering it was our first time. It's cool that you can attach more looms to it for bigger projects. Something to look forward to down the road.

We watched the instructional video on YouTube as well as reading instruction booklet prior to starting. Loom is easy to set up and use. She really liked the color of yarn that is included in the kit and it came with plenty of yarn for her small first project. Easy enough for an 11 year old to use on her own with little frustration. I just had to remind her a few times not to pull the yarn too tight or the end loom hooks would bend in. It took her an hour or so to make the pice shown. Also, she ended up pulling out the warp out too much after completion so we had to improvise the knotting so it wouldn’t unravel. It still looks adorable for a first try and she is excited to get different yarn to make more projects. Product is recommended for making fun weaving items.

I helped my daughter set up the loom following the easy picture instructions. Once you get started, things flow pretty well and in no time you have a finished project. My daughter is excited to make even more projects. The only thing you have to be careful with is the yarn coming out of the guides. I would definitely recommend this product!

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. This loom kit was so much fun! There is a manual and instructional videos you can watch that made setup super easy. Instructions were clear. My daughter did most of it herself while I read the instructions to her. By the end of the evening she was looming like a pro. Three kit came with yarn and extra guides. My daughter is excited to buy more and connect them for longer projects. She loves the colors of the yarn.

Getting the first few rows started was a bit tricky, but after a few minutes you could see it turning into the actual product. There was lots of discussion based off of all of the examples included with the packaging as to which item to start weaving first, but we decided to keep it simple and start with a homemade rug for our doll house. The directions throughout the whole process were easy to follow, even my 7 year old was reading along and working on it on his own! Our 4 year old enjoyed turning the lever back and forth to rotate the loom, and our 9 year old was excited to start her next project on her own! We can't wait to get more varieties of yarn to explore other options! We would definitely recommend this product for any young crafter or family project!

I like this LOOPDELOOM WEAVING LOOM KIT. It is easy once you get all the instruction correctl;y. You have to watchful with this becouse if you are not the strings get off easily. I will definetely make more things using this. Overall its a good project I will definetely recommend this.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I have always wanted to try a loom and my boys (8 and 10) love arts/crafts so we tested this together. We took turns setting up and weaving. The instructions are okay but the suggested video(s) on YouTube really helped visualize things further. Setting up the loom is quite simple but it took us a little bit to get used to weaving. Thankfully if you catch a mistake early enough you can unweave to where the mistake was made. Once you get the hang of it and get started it's an easy, repetitive yet calming activity. Occasionally the pegs would catch and they would have to be manually moved in order to get the weft properly through but it's an easy fix. My kids claimed our test rectangle to use as a blanket for some of their small toys. I am planning to make scarves next and even contemplating buying another loom since you can add them together to make bigger projects. Overall a great loom for starters like us, just pay attention to the steps and you can make your own weaved goods in no time!

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. My 8 year old has shown a sudden interest in learning to make things from yarn. When I saw this, I was excited because it seemed like an easier way for her to actually create something. The set up was extremely easy, and the directions with large pictures, and clearly defined terms, made the process very accessible with some adult assistance. My daughter was absolutely thrilled with the provided yarn, that included her favorite colors, and exclaimed that it was "even prettier than shown on the box!" After some experimentation, the process moved fairly quickly; we first noticed that we didn't pull the yarn all the way over, creating a loop on one end, then we noticed we pulled too tightly, making the end posts start to turn in, which would happen in any weaving project, and was a learning moment in weaving in general. We viewed the tops of the posts as shark mouths and said the yarn we put through was going to sneak behind all of their backs, as a way for her to remember which way to add the yarn. She thought this was great, and said it was fun and easy. With her shorter attention span, we didn't finish a product in one sitting (she wanted to make a scarf) so she is also learning that making things takes time and they can't be expected to be done right away, that being said, this made the process quicker and more accessible. It also took the work out trying to remember if you've gone over or under, etc. The way this is structured also allows us to be able to make long projects without having to have long boards for warp strings. Wider projects could be made with the ability to attach multiple loom devices together. She is excited about the possibility of making the fun creations shown on the box, which caught her attention right away.

Thanks to the easy to follow instructions with pictures she was able to get setup and start using the loom in less than five minutes. The entire time she was using it, she was saying things like, "this is really fun!" She also said it was easy to use and get into a good rhythm. I like the video instructions and ideas online. The yarn was good quality, and there was a lot of it. Also, you can expand the size of what you're making easily by combining multiple looms. I highly recommend for anyone either already enjoys weaving or wants an easy way to learn.
