I purchased this desk in a lighter color a few years ago and use it while working from home. The desk remains open most of the week and the heaviest item placed on it is a laptop. However, I've noticed recently that the screws of the hinges on the left half of the desk are somehow stripped and don't support the weight of the desk top anymore (see photos in which screws aren't flush with desk surface).

I was fortunate that all of the parts and instructions were included. I was not so fortunate that there were some bumps and bruises from the shipping (which were in less seen areas). This took me 2 hours to assemble with a screwdriver and hex tool with no assistance. I say this because there are varying comments that suggest needed two people, too many pieces, etc. I am by no means an expert builder but I am a rule follower, relentless, and meticulous with instructions. The result is sturdy and beautiful. I love that the backing, while very thin, was screwed in rather than nailed for longevity.

This desk fits beautifully in our master bedroom. I love the way it folds up to hide business when the work day is done. It also takes up very little floor space while still being spacious and able to hide a full size monitor.

I bought this desk in 2018 when we lived in a 2BR / 2BD apartment. It fit perfectly into a little nook in the living room. We have since built a house and, once again, it fits inside a little nook in our guest room. I now work full time from home and this desk has been a dream. It's so nice to fold up and hide my work mess when we have guests stay. It's profile is small enough to fit anywhere but big enough, when it folds out, for ample work space. It's survived a move and 6 years of work. Not to mention, we've moved it to different rooms of our house several times. I love this piece and totally recommend it.

This is an excellent desk it is good quality, and the wood itself is very sturdy as you can tell by how heavy the box is. The color is a beautiful brown. It is quite tall and does block out light depending where you place it. I put some little LED lights in the shelving but otherwise this is a beautiful desk. I work from home so I love it and can close up the desk when I am done and the kids will not get into it.

Very good piece with extra room for storage. I wish it had a drawer underneath to store office supplies. I did buy this for $69 so, it was a steal !

I was very fortunate to have all the pieces in my box. The secret is to not put the bolts and screws in all the way until you have them all in at each step. Then you can tighten them. It helps with the alignment process. I scored this deal on super clearance, I had no idea it was on sale for such a significant discount. Overall it was easy to assemble and seems to be of decent quality. The magnets are a bit far back, so the door doesn't secure. Overall, if I had paid full price I wouldn't be happy with it. For the great price, it's a good desk.

Love this desk! Assembly was pretty easy. Definitely wish I owned a power drill because there are sooo many screws. I got this for an amazing deal on clearance for $60. Didn’t even realize it also has a port for charging stuff! I went in looking for something to store yarn in because I crochet a lot, originally I was looking for a bookshelf but I’m so lucky I found this deal! Now it’s not only somewhere o can store my crochet supplies, but also sit and crochet at! Quality is okay- looks like it might scratch easily so just keep that in mind.

This desk is very attractive and provides a great function for a home office in that in can fold up to hide dual monitors when similar products are often designed only for a laptop. However, the quality control on this desk is incredibly lacking and assembly was very difficult. There is little help for serious quality control errors besides returning it and hoping the next one is better. The first desk I bought was missing the upper fixed shelf, which is a very large piece. From reading other reviews it sounds like random missing pieces is a common problem with this desk. Customer support told me they did not carry a spare part and that I would have to exchange it. I exchanged it and the second desk had all the parts, but it was incredibly difficult to put together even with two people. Some screws were too small for their purpose and would not catch and hold the pieces together, I had to replace these with longer screws on my own. Many holes did not line up and screws went in crooked or had to have new holes drilled. A few preattached metal pieces are slightly crooked, poorly screwed in, or chipped. The wood on one of the side frames is slightly loose when it clearly shouldn't be as the other is completely secured to the metal frame, but there's no way for me to fix that. All the screws were extremely difficult to screw in, especially the ones that went into the metal frame. One of the plastic feet is attached off center which makes the desk slightly wobbly. My hands are blistered the day after and the desk took probably 3 hours to assemble. This is not my first time building furniture and I have assembled difficult furniture pieces from other stores completely alone with much less frustration. The fold down door/desk top does not lay completely flat which is irritating. At the end of the day I like the look of the desk but the quality of the manufacturing is just terrible. If it wasn't such a nightmare to assemble and Target was closer to me, I would have exchanged this second one again due to the several defects with many parts. This is the piece of the furniture that finally made me decide I'm never buying another piece of furniture from Target again, even if I think it looks nicer than other stores' products. For a $200 desk from a major corporation this shouldn't be happening. I seriously hope the remaining inventory is recalled and the manufacturing problems are fixed, because this could be an amazing desk for remote workers and it sounds like many have issues with missing parts.

This desk was easy to put together and seem sturdy. Love that it has an integrated power supply. Looks really nice with the Loring shelf next to it as they are the same size and width. Only thing I dislike about this desk is it is a little difficult to get the hutch to fold flat, seems to angle in towards the wall.

This desk fits great in my small apartment. I love that it folds up, giving me space to write and keeping it compact. However, it took about 3 hours to put it together with 2 people. There are a million tiny screws. Also, the back of the desk is just a thin piece of particle board.

This desk is a winner! Not a terrible assembly and it such a super cute workspace. I spend about 6 hours, 5 days a week working at this desk. It’s so nice to hide my two large monitors that are such an eye sore. I also bought one for my niece who has a tiny living space.

This desk is really nice. Well made, took some effort to put together, definitely needed 2 people in places and to set it upright. It's quite heavy. I didn't secure it to the wall at the top but it would be wise if small children are around all the time. It's narrow and fits nicely along my dining room wall. The open display sections at the top are perfect for decorative items that make it blend into a room other than office. The fold out secretary desk is quite spacious.

Perfect addition to our space, very functional, quality piece for the money! Each piece was precisely cut and easy to put together, the holes lined up perfectly in our piece and instructions were sensible and easy to follow.
