At first the circle and base allow your child to freely explore, as every nesting option is correct. Next, they’ll discover there’s an “up” and “down” as they learn to place the spherical egg shape. Lastly, the square introduces how multiple sides can be nested correctly. Be amazed by all your child can accomplish—and have fun learning together through play.

My son loved the egg cup from the Explorer playkit, and it was a favourite toy for months. The ability to grasp each part in two hands and coordinate placing the egg into the cup took some time, and he found so many other ways to use the items, including exploring containment with different Lovevery tubes and boxes, and comparing the egg shape to other Lovevery balls and cubes. This Montessori Shapes puzzle builds upon his previous learning, and comes with a digital play guide to help provide different ideas for play. The included slip has a QR code for you to scan to access the extra resources. I did not provide all of the shapes together initially. At first I put the egg cup on the shelf alongside his old egg cup, and he was so excited to see two of the same. Several days later, I introduced the sphere, and we explored how the sphere and egg spin differently on the ground. He also quickly found that the sphere and egg fit into the cups differently. Finally, I introduced the cube, and through trial and error, were able to explore which shapes fit into each base. He is now able to take all six pieces and independently place them together as a complete puzzle. As with all Lovevery playthings, each piece is open ended and can be used for many different purposes. We like to place ours on the shelf with other loose parts to see where our sons imagination takes him! I highly reccomend this set, especially if your child was drawn to the egg cup from the Explorer. The quality is on par with everything we have come to expect from Lovevery.

We've had this for over a month and we love it! It's added challenge with the egg and the ball was enough to peak my 3 yr old son's interest. It promotes visual and spatial perception / visual discrimination, our friends who visited us with younger toddlers found this plaything extra interesting. My son was very eager to show them how to do it first and they soon followed suit. They manipulated the egg, cube and sphere with their hands and rolled the egg and ball around. It was a fun experience for all.

The Lovevery Montessori Nesting Shapes have been a game-changer for my little one's development. From the circular base to the egg shape and square, these shapes have become a staple in our playtime adventures since my child was 9 months old. The best part? It's not just a toy; it's a bonding experience! Even big brother(4 y.o.) loves to play with it!

I adore how this compact set reignites the interest of older toddlers, encouraging them to revisit familiar skills and discover new ones. My little one enjoys honing her shape and color recognition with this toy, fostering cognitive growth along the way. Once again, Lovevery delivers an outstanding product!

This toy is fantastic. We added this to our Lovevery collection and we are obsessed. I have a 21 month old and a 6 month old. Both of my kids love playing with this, separately and together. My toddler helps his brother, which is developing important skills for him, and my 6m old loves playing with his brother and copying him. When the 6 month old has this on his own, he is often trying to figure out the different shapes off the bases and likes grasping with his hands the egg and ball! This is a great little toy for travel also. We took this on a road trip and the kids alternated shapes and helped each other out. Great toy. Highly recommend adding this to the rotation.

The Lovevery Montessori Shapes are a perfect addition to your new babies toy shelf! This beautifully and ethically crafted infant brain teaser will peak your baby's interest and challenge them to match each shape to its holder. You can't beat the simplicity of a toy like this! Babies love puzzles they can complete, and this toy is just that: baby's first puzzle!

Our daughter is 8 months old and has loved these! They're wooden, which is really nice, but also beautifully painted. They're small enough for her to handle but not too small to be a choking hazard. She isn't quite old enough to sort them yet, but we've had fun playing peek a boo with the shapes and cups! I'm excited to see what she'll do next with them.
Love these ♥️

We are Lovevery subscribers as well, so this was a nice add on! I love how all the toys are interchangeable and fit together. My LO is 16months and does some really beautiful independent play with these! We have been rolling and throwing the egg vs the ball, experimenting with gravity, "eating" the egg, making sounds clapping them together, the list goes. It's crazy how much play is in such a simple toy! Also it's pretty indestructible, my LO is not gentle lol 😅
Well made, engaging toy!

I was excited to finally get my hands on this! It's a really unique spin on the classic Montessori egg cup activity. The quality is the same as our subscription toys and I can see this lasting us a long time. The baby loves it, and surprisingly my toddler does too! Highly recommend.

When my 17-month old saw the box, she immediately wanted to open it to play. It's a simple but versatile nesting set for 9m+ that can be used to work on hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, creative thinking, and vocabulary-building! My daughter loves to name the pieces (e.g. egg, ball) or colours before placing them in the correct base. She also enjoys trying to stack them in different ways. As a mom, I love the quality of Lovevery products and this one doesn't disappoint - the wood is smooth and the paint hasn't chipped (despite my kids dropping/throwing the shapes on the floor occasionally). Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and only wish I had it when my daughter was younger!

Lovevery never disappoints.! I have two under twos. My elder one just learned the colors and shapes; and with this product we could create different plays to encourage him to recognise colors and shapes and to have cause and effect learned. He loved it. He did really well even he learned a new word “egg”..! I used this toy for my younger one who is 7 months to encourage eye hand co ordination and the colors made it worth using this product.! She enjoys playing with it to explore the object. The quality of the product is such that I am not scared of her putting it in her mouth or holding and playing it.! Worth it.!
Another great product!

I love how this expands on the egg cup! It’s made of quality materials, so there’s no worry about splintering wood like I’ve seen with other brands. It’s colorful, and was enticing for my little one! We’ve quickly added this into our toy rotation and it’s been a quick favorite.
Cute fun shapes!

I really like this toy. My baby is at an age where putting things in things is just so fascinating, but my 3 year old also enjoys repurposing for pretend play. The paint is nontoxic which is great and the toys are seriously well made, beautiful finish with all smooth edges, great for babies who put everything right in their mouth. Also it feels silly to say but it’s nice to have toys around that look pretty and aren’t just a pile of plastic clutter. This is also a great size for baby hands, easy to hold and manipulate. The pieces come apart so I’ve even taken the egg, which baby is particularly fascinated by, along in the diaper bag.
Don't hesitate to get these!

The sturdy shapes are perfectly-sized for little hands. I can see her brain working and making connections as she takes pieces out. This is perfect size to bring along in the diaper bag as well to keep her occupied! We just turned 9 months, so don't be discouraged if at first the toy is for teething, with repeated exposure your little will begin to figure out their first puzzle!
Love Lovevery as always!

Our older child enjoyed the toy. She quite quickly grasped the nesting of the shapes, but we especially loved that the shape holders themselves also can be nested together promoting further exploration. While there is some limitation due to the straightforwardness of the activity, imagination allows for the well-made materials to be repurposed too!
