A: This serum definitely does not peel, but absorbs very nicely into the skin. It is meant to be applied before moisturizer and makeup.

A: Hello, we have discontinued the Beauty Drops capsules. Our Glow Boost Essence serum is very similar in its skin benefits.

A: Hello Tricia, thank you for asking! Vitamin C is used in cosmetic formulations due to its skin caring benefits, such as skin brightening properties. However, the usage of vitamin C or ascorbic acid as such in finished cosmetic products is impractical since ascorbic acid is very unstable. The compound degrades itself when in contact with light and/or air. This means that after a certain amount of time no or very little vitamin C is present in the cosmetic product, no matter how high content the product originally contained. To overcome this instability problem, different kinds of ascorbic acid derivatives can be used. Lumene Nordic-C [Valo] Glow Boost Essence contains ascorbyl glucoside, which is derived from vitamin C and glucose. The amount of vitamin C derivatives in Lumene products is a trade secret. However, we firmly believe that by using stable vitamin C derivatives in our products instead of high amounts of unstable ascorbic acid, we can offer efficient, safe skin care products that do brighten the skin when used regularly.

I have been using this vitamin C serum for 4 months exactly. Tried it based on reviews because my skin looked dull and age spots popping out of nowhere, not because I am actually aging (yikes!). I don't usually leave reviews but this stuff works too good to not share. My 38 year old skin is instantly noticeably softer after first use! Then it only gets better. Age spots and pimple scars are less noticeable over time and my skin glows!!!! All I need is 3 drops every night after cleansing. if I wore foundation that day, I make sure to clean extra well with a toner before application and follow by with my favorite moisturizer. I have tried other serums and they don't work. This does!!!

Its just water i dont know if it really contains vitamin c. It is too much runny which i dont like. I finished whole bottle i didnt see anything but when i used no7 vitamin c serum my face was glowing i made a mistake to give this a try.

This stuff is amazing. Clears my skin fairly immediately and gives it a glow. Tightens, even. I wish Target would sell it in stores but I think it's a bit under the radar and other brands get a lot more marketing even as they don't offer the kind of effectiveness of this product. The price point is more than fair, as well. I've tried higher priced or more cult-y brands but this is a product I come back to all the time because it works. (It does have a scent but I power through & have gotten used to it.)

I have heard of but never used an essence before and let me say I understand the hype now! It’s lighter than an oil but not quite a serum just in the middle so it really soaks into the skin leaving me feeling hydrated!

I'm almost 50 and bought this sample on a whim. Within days i started getting compliments on how I looked "great," and I already had a strict skin-care regimen in place. The smell is a bit strong, but it fades and it is worth it. Really love this stuff. Hydrating but not greasy and gives a subtle glow. I use it in the morning for all day moisture and glow.

I like how it is hydrating. I don’t know how effective in other ways. I’d say it reduces my sun freckles (skin damage) as much as my ordinary glycolic acid toner did. Which is just barely noticeable. However I started using encapsulated retinol in the evening and this in the morning and I think together they work effectively. I can’t really tell whicch one is doing more work than the other in lightening the spots. It smells really nice though.

This is a great smelling, lightweight vitamin c serum that is fantastic for introducing vitamin c to your routine. I have been using this incredible product for a couple years now, and I have never had any problems with it. I have dry, sensitive skin and I've always had bad reactions to new actives in skincare products, so I was extremely excited when I did not have any issues with using this. I highly recommend this for any skin type, including sensitive and dry!

I love this stuff but it's not a quick fix, and that goes for any kind of vitamin c serum. It takes on average 6-8 weeks for noticeable improvement and that was true for this product as well, but once you give it time, the results are dramatic. I had major breakouts with my first pregnancy and dark spots that wouldn't go away for ANYTHING. After about 2 months of using this, they finally began to fade and my skin is looking so even toned. Officially obsessed and buying more immediately.
