Q: Is it washable or dry clean ?

A: The description states Dry Clean and Line Dry, or Lay Flat to Dry Just spot clean and let it air dry on the bed. Once it is dry cover it with a flat sheet so you can fluff it daily, and easily.

A: Actually, I made a mistake. There are no stretchy sides to the featherbed. I was thinking about the mattress pad as well as the fitted sheet. It just sits on top but it is heavy enough and with a mattress pad on top of it, I have had no problems with it moving around.
submitted byDeb - 8 years agoA: Yes, it does wrap around. Reminds me of a mattress pad. Puffy on the top but stretchy fabric that goes around the corners and sides of your mattress. In fact, I actually put my mattress pad over it so I don't have to worry about cleaning it.
submitted byDeb - 8 years agoA: I just received this, and there is no strap or fitted portion to secure it to the bed. It's simply sits on top. I'm assuming this will work fine with a fitted sheet over it... at least I hope it will.

A: Hi EcoCatLady: If you open it up and let it lay flat for 48-72 hours it should definitely 'fluff up' to 5" height.

Allow 48 hours for the product to regain it's original fluffy loft and appearance. Then, lightly fluff the product to freshen up and distribute the fill material!

A: Yes it needs to be fluffed up and let air to it for a few hours so it can expand fully
submitted byPrtyeyes - 8 years agoA: Mine came in today and it was flat too. It says let it air 48 hours but I let mine air about 8 hours with fluffing up a few times within those 8 hours. I am laying on mine now and feels like I am laying a cloud. It really expanded when I came in at the end of 8 hours to make my bed. I was impressed!!

A: Hi Rob: There isn't any chemical odor--you might experience a very slight odor from the feathers (from being compressed in shipping). You'll find that it completely dissipates within the first day or two after opening.

A: Dear MN, This is a featherbed. Featherbeds are pillowtops/Mattress Toppers. Therefore, it sits on top of the mattress doesnt wrap it around. Thanks for your question. I hope it helps others as well.

It is getting harder to find a good quality Feather Bed at a reasonable price. I purchased the same brand 2 years ago. This one seemed like it didn't have as many white feathers in the top. Plus, it flattened out quickly. However, the bed had no odor, and the material is a good quality. I gave it 4 stars for those reasons, and I purchased it on sale. I wouldn't pay full price as the quality has gone down. I only use flat sheets so I can quickly, and easily fluff it daily. Sometimes I turn it over due to the flattening. I will use a thicker sheet when I turn it over. I use flannel, or jersey sheets because the feathers will poke through when it is turned over. I would recommend this brand because others are not as good.

It’s ACTUALLY as thick as it says. It does flatten out after about a week, but I sleep alone in a Cal King and don’t move around much.😂 I don’t mind fluffing it up - it’s WELL WORTH the effort!

The featherbed was awful! I tried sleeping on it and I couldn’t tell I even had it on the bed. This is the worst featherbed I have ever bought. I am returning the featherbed and will purchase a different brand.

I wake up each night to quills from inside the topper poking me even though I have repeatedly fluffed this up and I have been cleaning up feathers from my floor that have been coming out. Soft but extremely lumpy and you only get a so-so nights sleep if you’re single and are laying in the center of the bed so it doesn’t slope down on the side. Definitely would not recommend for two people and if I could give this less than one star, I would. I am disappointed that I am now stuck with this. Absolutely horrible!

With any alternative or feather topper it's important to understand that it's necessary to fluff it on a regular basis depending on a few factors like your usage, your weight and your desired comfort level. Also, you're going to have feathers that come out. I'm a small person who switches my side of the bed on a King sized bed every other night so my "fluffing" duties are minimal with this topper. It's also necessary to have a decent mattress underneath the topper. This topper is plenty thick for the price and if you fluff properly and often, it will be comfortable and stay comfortable. I recommend sleeping on a feather bed a few times before deciding to live with one forever. I can't sleep without one.

These blankets are very warm and huge, I am enjoying mine, and I will reorder. My son was trying to talk me into giving him mine because it is high quality and the color was very pretty so I ordered him one and he loves it but not the same color, but he still wants the purple color one so a future order is coming. I don't regret my purchase and the ordering was threw macys so it was very simple to order. Thanks for the high quality it was made with love in mind.

I’m not very happy, that less than a week after delivery, Target has this on sale for $30 cheaper. However, that’s not the reason for 4 stars. Delivery was prompt, the feather topper is 5 inches thick, and the color is a crisp white. It is being docked a star because my husband and I have been stabbed every night since putting this on our bed. I even bought an extra thick cover for it, but to no avail. I’ve owned plenty of feather toppers in the past, and this one is just ok. You’ll also need a little extra time in the morning to make your bed. This does need to be fluffed each day to keep the feathers looking full. Not worth the $99 I paid, but the sale price is worth the other hassles.
