Directions for Use: It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read the entire label before using product. To Open Child Resistant Cap: Hold bottle firmly with one hand on a flat surface with other hand, squeeze sides of cap where indicated while turning counterclockwise. Do not remove cap. Avoid squeezing bottle when to open child opening. To reseal, twist cap clockwise until tightly closed. To Clean: (1) Flush toilet before cleaning. (2) Apply at least 4 oz to coat the bowl including under the rim. Do not close lid. For tough lime scale & rust stains: Let sit for 10 minutes. (3) Scrub entire bowl and under rim thoroughly. Then flush. To Sanitize: (1) Empty toilet before sanitizing. (2) Remove excess dirt by scrubbing. (3) Apply at least 4 oz to coat the bowl including under the rim. Do not close lid. (4) Scrub entire bowl and under trim thoroughly. Let sit for 5 minutes. Then flush. (5) Rinse brush in fresh bowl water after use. Storage and Disposal: Storage: Store in original container in a cool, well-ventilated area, inaccessible to small children. Keep securely closed. Pesticide Disposal: To avoid waste, use all material in this container according to label directions. Container Disposal: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container if empty place in trash or offer for recycling, if available. If partly filled: call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. To open child resistant cap. (1) Place fingers on marked cap ridges. (2) Squeeze cap firmly and turn counterclockwise until it stops. Do not remove cap. (3) To reseal, squeeze cap again and turn clockwise. Do not squeeze bottle when opening.Inactive ingredients

Product cleans alright. After using for several months it is now leaving a blue stain in my toilet. I will probably switch in future to something that does not have so much dye in it. Otherwise I like that it uses hydrogen peroxide rather than bleach.

If the toilet is more than a few years old, it is possible that the surface has become eroded or worn. This causes microscopic pitting of the surface which can trap a residue of the cleaner. This did not clean the toilet very well at all. It just made it smell clean but did not get rid of any rust ring or anything even using a brush afterward. I have the Lysol hydrogen peroxide multipurpose spray cleaner in the citrus scent and I love it, but the toilet cleaner was a waste of money for me. Comet or just plain spray bleach works much better to actually clean the toilet and is much more cost effective as it's cheap and you only need a little bit. This stuff dumps a ton out of the bottle just trying to use it, also making the smell kind of overpowering and this particular scent isn't the best. Very chemical smell like public bathroom cleaner.

I've used this product for a few years and it works well. Haven't had problems with the cap not opening or coming off . I just squeeze the cap at the bottom, twist, and it pops up like it should . I like having a good cleaner that doesn't have bleach. My only complaint is that it still has a chemical smell.

I love Lysol products they are everywhere in my house but I HATE the cap on the toilet cleaner!!!! It is next to impossible to open and I dread cleaning the toilets! My 80 year old Mother lives with us and cannot open it at all and so she leaves the bottle open at all times in her bathroom which is not safe for her, my floors, my pets or my grandchildren when they are here! PLEASE do something about the design of this cap!!! So many other products manage to have a safety cap that is user friendly!

TBC with Hydrogen Peroxide

Been using Lysol TBC with bleach for years. Very happy with it, but I hate bleach. I hate the smell and it's potential for damage. I decided to try the HP based TBC just recently. It's ok. It's nowhere close to being as powerful as the TBC with bleach. Takes a bit more scrubbing to remove lime/scale but it does work. On a very good note, it has almost no real smell at all, so my nose is pleased and I'm not scared of a little splash back while squirting the cleaner or scrubbing the bowl. And PS, the previous reviews are correct about the cap being an issue. It's very persnickety. It can be hard to open or it leaks when open and in use.
