I had very high hopes for this lipstick however, it failed to perform in all aspects. The color is ok- I wouldn't say it's a true matte, but more of a minimal shiny with a touch of matte. It's not highly pigmented in the least and I've gotten much better quality from drugstore brands than this one. The staying power is terrible. I would not recommend this lipstick if you are a lipstick expert as this could and prob will shatter your opinion of Mac.

I own and use products from over 15 different MAC product lines, and this is by far my favorite. This product elevates my appearance no matter what other makeup products I have on and no matter what outfit I have on. It adds a level of class and maturity to my look like no other makeup product can. I love the Silky Matte formula because of its high pigmentation, blendability, and unmatched shade range. I prefer the Silky Matte line over the Satin finish because of the shade range, and also because if I want to lessen the matte finish, a light coating of clear lip glass applied with a lip brush will usually do the trick. I have this in a variety of shades - Velvet Teddy, Flamingo, Cafe Mocha, Sweet Deal, Kinda Sexy, and Forever Curious. Looking forward to adding more shade to my collection like Get the Hint, You Wouldn't Get it, Mehr, and Twig Twist.

There are some colors that just don't work with this formula. Lipstick Snob is one of those colors. It's a beautiful color - very beautiful color - however it applies very patchy and accentuates any and all lip lines I have, and it looked like I've never even used lip balm in my life. The color swatched very nicely in store, which was why I bought it, but it did not work well for me for it's intended use. However, I do own the color Mehr - which is from the same line - and this one applies smoothly and looks beautiful. I would try another pink if you need a bright pink.

I am fair skinned and have neutral undertones. The color looks GREAT on me and is my new staple. I am wearing velvet teddy and it goes fanominally with the lip liner "spice". I would 100% recommend.

I absolutely love the color 'Yash,' it's the perfect nude for my skintone without being too pale looking. I usually avoid matte lipstick, but this is a silky matte. I do add a little lip balm underneath because in Colorado it's easy to get dry lips year round. This one is a keeper!

I have used the matte lipstick for over 14 years with no problems, mainly because of the ingredients. With this new formula, I now have to search for a new lipstick since I'm allergic to some of the new ingredients. I use to brag about how this lipstick was so great especially for people with really sensitive skin. Now I can only use the lip liners and I pray those Ingredients don't change or I have to go down another rabbit hole finding another product that doesn't break me out. I cant speak on the gloss or the other version of lipsticks with mac because I never could use them due to them having similar ingredients to this new version. I wish they would have kept the old version and added the new version for people who could actually use it.

Why do you keep ruining your good products??? You had the best matte on the market and now this! The formulation is greasy and doesn't last 30 min. The worst part is that it creeps past my lips onto the surrounding skin. Please bring back the old matte formula with a full range of shades. The color range of the few that you still offer is extremely limited and like all of your shades these days TOO ORANGE.

This is my favorite lipstick. The color is perfect. A nice neutral but with some warm tones. I will definitely buy the regular size when I run out
