MAC has changed the shades of these powders...I have used NW20 for 20+ years and suddenly the shade is different! See photo for comparison, these products are both labeled NW20 and theres a big difference in the colors.
Love it!

Love the new studio fix powder, coverage is amazing and holds up well throughout the day on my oily skin. Also doesn’t cause me any breakouts like the old formula did.
I like it

I have not had a long history with the old product. I do recall trying it and not liking it because it was too drying and caused me to look more aged. it is the same complaint I have with most setting powders and I am still working my way through a fee brands to find a go-to. Having said that, I have purchases the new formula in 2 shades because it works WELL as a setting Powder for me as it isn't drying but has enough to keep everything in place.
Not the same and that's not a good thing

Why did Mac change this. You have to find a new shade and it definitely does not have the same coverage as before. If you're going to make a new product, make it better not worse. I never write reviews but I just had to for this. So disappointed in Mac

I was NC10 prior to the reformulation. According to MAC, I should still be NC10 in this new formula. Nope, its way too dark, and has to go back. I tried NC5, the lightest shade, and I find its wayyyyy too yellow. I didnt hate the new powder, but now they literally dont have a shade I can wear. Ive been wearing this powder for 16 years and now have to find another. This new powder is less blurring than the original, but seems less dry to me. So after a few hours you may not be matte anymore.

I have been using this product for many, many years. I've tried other brands that are even pricier, and I still come back to MAC. It gives me an even tone and glow that lasts hours. I always have to buy two because my daughter steals it from me.

MAC should have simply called this product something other than Studio Fix because it's nothing like the original. All the aunties like me who have been wearing the original for over 10 years know that it was full coverage, smooth and gave your face a beat, flawless, seamless look. The new version is thin, dusty, lacks coverage and the color options recommended as matches on MAC's site are not accurate. The new NC 50 is darker, more neutral and lacks the golden yellow tone the old one had. I'm grabbing Fenty's pressed powder in #385 and #390 instead - these are golden yellow and full coverage.

I have used this for 20+ years and have always loved it depsite being in between 2 shades and never having a perfect match….until now!! I am so happy with the new formula. Not only do they offer more shades so i was able to find an exact match, it seems to be much better on oil control. I have also noticed it stays on longer. One happy MAC customer here.

Dont sleep on the new studio fix!! I know no talc does suck, but ive tried this powder on many skin types, including my dry acne prone skin, and it looks incredible! So smoothing, soft, and the coverage is amazing. This powder works much better on drier skin types, as well as oily. Give her a chance!! Take time to shade match, and know you may need to adjust your techniques to make your product work for YOU!!

So it shows people doesnt like change. Yes they changed formula, it's talc free now, they want to make sure you don't get cancer, they changed packaging. So what? Yes they changed shade range so its more accurate and they added some new shades. They made it more inclusive. I love this powder for natural or full face days. Its smoothing, blurring and feels light weight. I found my perfect shade. For the people saying bring back the old powder, it was awful. It oxidizes and looked cakey.

I tried the new formula and its not for me. The coverage is not great, doesnt cover my redness, its splotchy and powdery. It does not melt into the skin like the okd formula. I am an NC15 and the new formula is much too dark for me in that shade when color match said to get the same shade. I guess I'm on the hunt for a new everyday foundation now.
new formula is awful!

It's not often that I feel compelled to write a review but this has been my holy grail foundation for years and they had to go and ruin it. the new formula is HORRIBLE. accentuates fine lines, cakes up, separates and cracks, it's just BAD. Mac, why? if it's not broke, why fix it? please read all the terrible reviews and bring back the good stuff!

I've used this along with the studio fix liquid foundation since 2015. Always LOVED this powder, but no more Mac for me after 10 years. This powder is nothing like the original. Now I'm searching high and low for placed who may have the old powder, but no luck. I will not be buying this "improved" powder ever again. It's nothing close to the OG. After 10 loyal years Mac, we're breaking up.

The reformulation is TERRIBLE for oily skin, I recently fell in love with this powder before the remake and thought, why not give the new one a shot and reformulating such a beautiful product was a HUGE mistake. My skin is OILY and the old formula was a godsend, this is terrible and will look terrible even after setting it, it seperates and doesnt last. The shades are way too dang warm-yellow. Remaking this was an attack on anyone oily or with neutral skintones. Desperately hoping the old formula is brought back.
