Description

Set sail on an island-hopping adventure starring Mario and Luigi

The brothers return for a brand-new adventure on the high seas! A mysterious power has fractured the world of Concordia into many scattered islands, and it’s up to Mario and Luigi to reconnect them. Venture out on Shipshape Island (part ship, part island) and launch out of its cannon to visit, explore, and quest your way through islands that range from tropical rainforests to bustling cities. Meet new friends along the way, like Connie and Snoutlet (definitely not a pig), and encounter familiar faces from the Mushroom Kingdom like Peach and Bowser, who may help—or hinder—you on your journey.

Make choices about the order you visit islands in, and your approach to the challenges you’ll face, as you chart your path through the story!

Rely on Mario and Luigi’s brotherly bond and abilities to succeed

Unleash the mighty power of Mario and Luigi’s brotherly bond to overcome adversity and thwart foes! Use Bros. Moves to bypass obstacles while you explore by turning into a ball or UFO, or even throwing fire and ice balls to melt or freeze something in your way. Take advantage of powerful Bros. Attacks like Zapperator in a dynamic twist on turn-based combat, where well-timed attacks, dodges, and counterattacks are key to defeating foes!

Equip Battle Plugs for extra abilities, like guaranteed critical hits against flying targets, to get a strategic advantage on your enemies. Swap Battle Plugs whenever you want, and experiment with creative combinations to create different effects—you’ll need every edge this “brothership” gives you to save the day!

Discover the power of Luigi’s inventive mind with Luigi Logic

Luigi’s got lots of ideas for handling problems. His flashes of inspiration will help Mario explore, solve puzzles, collect items, and more. He’s also got some, er, unconventional approaches that might take you by surprise. Wait until you see the tricks he comes up with to help you deal big damage in boss battles!

I heard a lot of different opinions about this game, but I still have it a try. When I tell you how much I love this game, I MEAN IT! The story line is great, the graphic design is adorable but also high tech, and DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CHARACTERS!! You really start to gain an emotional attachment to them quickly!❤️ The script is so funny and enjoyable, it gives you a good laugh! Now I know it may not be for everyone, but to anyone who enjoys a nice, puzzling, and hilarious scripted game, Mario & Luigi Brothership is the game for you!!!

I’ve played a lot of Mario games over the years and this has probably been my least favorite. I thought it was odd they named it brothership and made it one player- but I knew that going in. My main problem is that the game functionally works like you’re two players (with both characters) but it’s not. I think this should have been a game you can play either way as these features would have been a lot more fun in a co-op. There’s not really a point in one player mode, you are working cooperatively with your other controller. The actual gameplay is decent but not my favorite. Graphics are good. My 6 & 9 year old were able to play through but they thought my 3 star review of this one was fair as it’s one of their least-enjoyed games. Overall I think the price point should be lower on this one.

Not your traditional Mario game…Odd concept overall…way too much character dialogue and not enough action in gameplay. Super long tutorial as well. Cool graphic design though

After years of no new installments to the series this new one was a breathe of fresh air, some things took a bit to get used to but the story, music, and scenery were so amazing!!! Almost done with the game also but as a long time fan of this series it's great to have this new experience and IGNs review on it was sooo wrong in my opinion definitely give this game more of a try like I did after I was unsure at first cause you're in for a treat!!

So much talking in this game.. The fight scenes are ridiculous and the same every single time. It is so frustrating you just have to stop because it's a waste of time.

Ordered for a birthday. Said it would come saturday now not coming until Tuesday. Bought from them instead of amazon even tho it was more expensive because they would deliver it earlier. They didn't! Typical target. More expensive, worse service!

What a misleading game. Bought this for my son for Christmas assuming it was two player since it was Mario AND Luigi. Let alone the title has BROTHERSHIP in the name. Nope. You apparently control Mario and Luigi with ONE controller with NO OPTION FOR 2 PLAYER. Avoid this 60 dollar purchase

Removed two stars because for a game that is titled brothership, it should be a 2 player. This has bewildered me.

Great game, haven’t finished it yet but the story seems interesting and the characters are appealing. There are some things that could’ve been done better, but for the first game in YEARS, it’s really well done.

As others stated, the loading times are too long. Long enough it makes you not want to continue at times. Additionally, this would have been more fun had it allowed two players. We need more Mario bros multiplayer games. I found this to be boring and it feels like outdated technology. Wish I wouldn’t have wasted money on it.

I grew up playing the Mario and Luigi RPG series, and this game is truly a wonderful addition to it! My only complaint is the loading times before and after battles. Other than that, I’m happy to see my favorite heroes back on a new adventure!

Nintendo really missed the boat on this one. Everything about this game screams that it is a two player game, It could have been a really cool co-op game but No, it’s a single player game. It doesn’t allow you to choose your character and Luigi is essentially a tag along character. Really disappointing.

The days of Mario and Luigi superstar sage, partners in time, Bowser's inside story are long gone, but luckily the brothers are back in action. This is not a short adventure akin to Paper Mario, another great RPG series, so you are looking at approximately $1.5-$2 per hour of content.
