Description

Play as Princess Zelda and use her wisdom to save Hyrule!

The people of Hyrule are being swallowed up by strange rifts, with Link and the King of Hyrule among the missing. Left alone, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom in a brand-new adventure in the Legend of Zelda™ series!

Team up with an ethereal creature named Tri to use the Tri Rod—a mysterious staff that allows Zelda to create “echoes,” which are imitations of things you find in the environment like objects or monsters. Once you learn an echo, you can use Tri’s power to recreate it whenever you like—no crafting necessary!—to solve puzzles and defeat enemies your own way. To reach a treasure chest, you might stack beds to create a staircase, pick up a crow to glide across a gap, or stack water blocks to swim up to it. The approach is up to you!

Traverse the land’s obstacles and conquer its rifts

Your quest to save Hyrule will span far and wide across its many regions—from the sandstorms of Gerudo Desert to the sparkling lakes and rivers of Jabul Waters. In your travels, you’ll encounter rifts that are spreading across the land. To close the rifts and save the people trapped inside, Zelda and Tri must enter each one and use their powers to traverse broken terrain and defeat dungeon bosses.

Zelda can use other abilities in combination with echoes, including transforming into a powerful swordfighter for a short time. With these abilities, you’ll be fully equipped to tackle every challenge in creative ways.

You can also make travel across Hyrule faster by using waypoints and your horse!
Discover side quests and minigames

As you explore Hyrule, you’ll meet all kinds of interesting people with their own storylines—some dealing with problems great or small, and others who might just have fun challenges for you! You’ll also encounter the engineer Dampé who is looking for someone to help him create powerful wind-up gizmos.

Equip accessories and visit Smoothie Shops for bonus effects

Try on different outfits and accessories to gain various effects such as the ability to jump higher. Visit a Smoothie Shop to blend up your ingredients into tasty drinks capable of replenishing your hearts and granting temporary bonuses like resistance to electricity.

Scan any Legend of Zelda™ themed amiibo™ figures* to get rewards, like smoothie ingredients and certain outfits in alternate colors.

Ordered this game for pick up because it was on sale, but didn’t open it promptly because I was playing a different game I wanted to finish first, only to open the sealed game today 2 months after purchase to an empty game box… very disappointed, mostly in the fraud that returned a sealed empty package and that I’m out my money…

Linear and Short Game

The Chosen One - 6 months ago
I bought this game against better judgement hoping I would be wrong in some areas, and sadly I wasn't. I wanted to try the first "Zelda" Zelda adventure, having deeply enjoyed the mods to play as Zelda and Linkle. With that said, the game starts okay enough, but quickly, and I mean quickly, gets to be very linear, predictable, and repetively boring. Don't get me wrong, the new content is fun to play, but is tiring a little and all too short. The overworld map in particular is tiny, and not the exploration rewards aren't that good usually. In small caves and open world chests, usually you just get fruit or 20 rupees. The main game itself is basically just centered around the main dungeon puzzles, which although is charming is linear and more or less the same. It is all puzzle based and you have to fight enemies with echoes typically. Overall I did like the game, it's just repetitive and tedious and overall not worth $60. I'm at 10 hrs and almost done for context. There wasn't much variety really in the story and every dungeon is the same too.

This game caught me by surprise. It took me years to finally finish Link’s Awakening (same art style) but this game I was addicted to once I started playing. It’s like Links Awakening and BOTW/TOTK had a baby. The art style fools you into thinking it’s just some silly game but the stories tug at your heart strings. It may not have the same difficulty level as other games in the franchise but I was having so much fun I just didn’t care. Surprising to me it has become one of my top faves and makes me look forward to what is possible for the BOTW/TOTK style. I wholeheartedly disagree with the bad reviews.

I bought this game for my mom who loves Zelda games. I got it for her birthday as part of her gift. This game has 50/50 reviews that to me didn't make sense and basically people complaining. I've watched her play it, it's pretty fun, very nice graphics, lots of missions to do and it's super cute. It didn't seemed rushed, it's just as long as the last game and it's fun to see Zelda do her own thing. She has a lot of echos, every echo is different and it's of different things from objects to creatures that's in the game including a bed to heal your life. She has really cool powers of her own, the storyline is good and I don't see why a lot of people dislike it. My mom likes the game, if anything she likes it better than Link's awakening. I think people don't give it a chance and the game really isn't that bad. It's fun, it's adorable and there's lots to do in it. I was scared to buy it for her but I'm happy I took the chance. I didn't believe fully in the reviews it has, don't judge the game by its ratings and reviews. It's fun to play to pass the time or to play the continuation.

This game made me cry because it looks like a silly little thing but you get so emotionally invested in the world and the characters that when the game ends you just wish that it didn't. The echo ability looks daunting at first but after just a little while you can become a master with it and it just feels so good to play. You get to ride a horse, and there's also cats and cows, and it's just all perfect. <3

I have played every game since the first one. This is like a modern, cute cross between Link to the Past and Ocarina. This is a great game for kids. It’s not terribly hard and finding ways to use the echoes as weapons and to traverse. The terrain is ridiculously fun. It is what it is, it’s not BOTW. Considering they said it would be a few years until another Zelda entry came out. People should look at this as a little gift. It’s a really cute game and definitely a good one for children, it is creative and imaginative.

Echoes of Disappointment

Questioner - 7 months ago
As a longtime Zelda player, I was excited for this game, but after over 15 hours, I feel let down. Echoes of Wisdom tries to blend classic dungeon crawling with modern mechanics, but it ends up feeling tedious and uninspired. The Echoes system initially intrigued me, but it quickly became monotonous. With an echo for practically everything, the novelty wears off fast, turning gameplay into a slog. Combat is especially disappointing; Zelda doesn’t wield a weapon without transforming into Link for a brief moment. This makes battling feel unbalanced and frustrating, as I find myself waiting for echoes to do the work while Zelda remains sidelined. The story fails to bring anything new, relying too heavily on recycled environments and basic character interactions that lack depth. The level design leaves much to be desired, feeling simplistic and almost childlike, which is a far cry from the challenging puzzles and quests we’ve come to love. While there are some creative elements, the execution feels cluttered, with too much focus on managing echoes instead of enjoying combat or exploration. Cutscenes frequently interrupt gameplay, breaking immersion and flow. The menu system for Echoes is also clunky, wasting time that could be spent playing. Overall, this game feels like a missed opportunity. Zelda deserves better than this uninspired outing. It’s cute at times, but it fails to capture the essence of what makes the series special.
