Maxi-Cosi Emme 360 Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat

Was given this seat about a year ago by my daughter to haul one new grandchild. Very heavy and difficult to install. A very clumsy and awkward experience. Seems tight once installed. Use is a nightmare. The handle to release the seat is difficult to reach, on the base under the seat. Requires you to squeeze with your thumb. Very difficult to release the seat to rotate. Impossible if you have low grip strength like myself. Currently the seat is non functional since I released to rotate and now is jammed and won't turn to lock into position. Have used Graco and other brands that are easy to operate. This seat is the worst I have ever used.

Purchased this exactly a year ago. Upon receiving the car seat it had several holes in the fabric. Luckily I contacted the company and they sent me new fabric covers! The past year we have not loved this car seat as the straps are ALWAYS tangling and extremely annoying to use. We have not been able to use the car seat for over two months due to it not locking in place now. I have emailed the company and even sent videos with no response. If I could advise anyone it would be to for sure spend your money on a different brand.

I was blessed to receive this convertible car seat to review product. The car seat has been great. My toddler enjoys it. Our rides are more enjoyable and I can guess it is because she is more comfortable. I love that it rotates and the magnet belt, making it easier on me. The con I can provide is that it is heavy and was a little complicated to install. We only have one vehicle so at least we won't have to struggle with it again.

We registered for this carseat before our daughter was born. She is 9 months old now and we are using it for the first time. It doesn't turn without force. It often gets stuck. The straps are nearly impossible to pull tight. On top of that the reaquired body pillow is not secured into the carseat with anything making getting a baby in and out a nightmare. Avoid this carseat!!!

Isn’t sturdy, doesn’t feel safe, constantly gets stuck. It was a giant waste of money.

Rotation sucks! Manual says not to force it but you have too, I've had 2 now and they both do the same thing, have to shoulder check it to rotate it, don't waste your money, company will warranty it out but good luck getting one that actually works

This is the most god awful car seat. Car seats should not be this difficult to use and install, I have been helping people with car seats since 2000 I am a certified car seat specialist and I will tell you I will never recommend this seat. if it is not easy for people to use It will not be used properly.

I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about! If there was anything wrong with this car seat, the company must’ve ironed everything out because we love ours! We are 1st time parents & this was our first convertible car seat. I did minimal research & honestly just bought the least ugly one I could find between 3 or 4 different sites but that was also in our price range. Yes this is a bit pricey, but it’s well worth it to me because of the rotation feature. It’s so much easier to put our son into the Emme 360 than it is the Pria Max which we purchased shortly after the Emme for our other vehicle. I bought the Meadow Wonder color & it is very beautiful for being a car seat. 10/10 all the features work great. Installation is a little tricky but I made a trip to our local traffic safety & resource office & they helped me get it installed correctly with no problems. After that I was even able to move the car seat to a new car without hardly needing to look at the manual. Definitely would recommend this car seat if you can afford it. For reference I drive a Honda Accord & it fits wonderfully, my son is around 22 lbs & slightly below average height.

Installation was even easy with zero problems so why 2 stars? I’m unable to use the seat cause the bottom buckle has zero slack. My baby is in the 90% range so he’s got some chunk and the plastic on the clips just dug and pinched the inside upper part of his legs. He rode in it twice for 5 minutes each time and screamed the whole way. I wish I would of installed sooner and noticed the bottom clip basically attached to base of seat with no strap slack and maybe I could of exchanged for a different seat instead of having to buy another one out right.

We had the pleasure to test out the Emme 360° Rotating All-in-One Car Seat as a member of Stellar Product Tester Panel. We were excited to see if the rotating feature is worth the hype! Upon opening, at first sight we noticed the stylish design - the various greys and black look clean and classy. The fire-resistant fabric, extra cushioning, and added support are not only stylish, but safe and comfy as well! The removable insert seat pad is not something every car seat has but should! Parents of babies and toddlers - you know what I mean. Diaper blowouts, urine leaks from mis-aligned diaper, spilled water, etc. can happen, but when you have a removable pad, you still have a clean car seat! An additional awesome feature are the belt straps' silicone grips - what a great idea!! No slipping and still comfortable! Couple with the ability to switch between 3 modes (rear-facing, forward-facing and belt-positioning booster) I see no reason why it could not last for 10 years; when it looks this stylish and has a high-quality build, being able to use it for nearly a decade is a plus. Next up - the install: I have installed at least a dozen different car seats, and the instructions could use some work - maybe it was the photo that confused me. Either way, I put the manual aside and installed using the LATCH system. It was quick and easy. I validated my installation with the manual and was able to then decipher the instructions. Honestly, it may have been my issue in not understanding the instructions, but it's important to know, nonetheless. The operation: the 360° rotation seat design is definitely worth the hype - no more lifting your baby/toddler over the arm, potentially straining your back to get them in. Getting our 2.5-year-old in and out of the car is easier than ever by squeezing the handle and rotating. It locks into loading and front/rear facing positions. Now, the handle may be difficult for some as my wife had difficulty each time. All in all, 5 stars!!

Although it comes with an instruction manual, I found the instructions somewhat unclear and difficult to follow. It took me several attempts to install the seat correctly, and I had to double-check several times to ensure that it was secure. Additionally, the seat is quite heavy, making it challenging to maneuver it into the proper position. Overall, I would recommend that parents allow plenty of time to install the Emme 360 Rotating All-in-One Car Seat and be prepared to seek additional assistance if necessary. The standout feature of the Emme 360 is its 360-degree rotation, which allows easy access to your child while getting them in and out of the car. However, I found it challenging to rotate the seat smoothly when my little one was seated in it. Additionally, the buckle proved to be a safety concern as my toddler was able to easily undo it. I took a buckle from an old car seat and attached it to solve the issue, but parents should be aware and ensure the buckle is properly secured. The shoulder harness pads are also velcroed on differently than typical car seats, with an attached velcro piece on top. Lastly, the cup holders were detachable, and my little one was able to remove them quickly after being strapped in. Although it's not a significant issue, I wish they were attached differently. The Emme 360 Rotating All-in-One Car Seat is an exceptional investment for parents due to its impressive features and the ability to grow with your child, making it a practical and long-lasting option. Although using the rotation feature with a child in the seat may require some practice and supervision, these minor issues can be effortlessly managed.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this amazing all-in-one car seat! Getting my daughter in and out of the car is a breeze now that I can make the seat rotate to face me. From installation to everyday use it was simple to understand and there is a barcode to scan with a very helpful tutorial video that we took advantage of. Some of my favorite features that add to the Emme 360 car seat include the awesome harness holders, wonderful soft/durable/washable fabric, cool removable cup holders, and the smart ClipQuik chest clip. The modes this seat includes from front facing to rear facing with recline options is pretty exceptional. I hate to say anything bad about this car seat but there are two things that I can't ignore. My daughter still sits rear facing and because of the design of this seat when I lock it into position you can push it from side to side at the top at least a couple inches. My husband and I noticed this while testing it out and rechecked the install to make sure the base was super tight. Even though the base has no movement at all you can still wiggle the car seat from the top in rear lock position. When we rotated it to front facing it did not wiggle which made me feel better. My daughter will be front facing soon and I will feel a bit more comfortable without that movement in the seat. The other item that slightly bothers me is the release handle to rotate the car seat is extremely hard to release. I have to really get in there and squeeze it with all my might but at least it locks good I guess. Overall this car seat is truly amazing! You can really see and feel the layers of protection within the seat from top to bottom. With the easy adjustable headrest and removable inserts I know my daughter can grow with this seat to give it many years of use. We are considering splurging on a second one for my husbands truck as it's just that great!

I received this convertible car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I'm so glad I did. I knew of newborn seats, toddler seats, booster seats and convertibles seats - but I never heard of 360 rotating seats! We are a city family so we only drive a few times per month. But I also actively avoid driving because the struggle of buckling my little one into the car seat, especially in the winter, vs just heading out in the stroller is something I look to steer clear of. But this car seat changes all of that! Being able to turn the seat to face me at the door makes it so much easier to get my 28 lb toddler in and out without bumping his head or me maneuvering in all sort of uncomfortable ways. After he's in, I generally struggle to pull the threads to be really tight from the angle of the seat and my position - but again, facing me straight in makes it so much easier to tighten and loosen. Installation is always a dread or pain point but this was truly a breeze. I love that they will walk you through it with an appointment and I was prepared to need this but just played the video on their website as I installed and it took me no time at all. I love the red/green system for confirming when the seatbelt strap is tight enough. On traditional convertible car seats, I'm pulling at it each trip and wondering if it is too loose but this system makes me feel secure and there really isn't any wiggle room. I also love that you install it once and you are done. So when I decide to change my son to forward facing it won't be a big reinstallation process. The base is in and then I'd just rotate him forward vs backward. The no rethread harness makes it easier to have him stay in it as he grows too. We are a long way from 10 years old (what the chair says it is good through) but I could see using it through at least 6. The seat was pretty roomy. Another nice touch is the cup holders - got his water bottles and good for snacks but they also pop out easily for cleaning.

The car seat is hard to turn you pretty much have to squeeze the lever then use your shoulder to push for it to rotate. The lever is also in a super inconvenient spot. Not a one handed turn at all. It also is not super secure I use the lower anchors plus the tether tightened as tight as I can get it the seat still is able to be moved. I would recommend the even flo. The car seat is also bulky so not much room left in the car.

I loved the car seat. Baby girl is very comfortable in it. However, 2 months into using it, the rotation started to be very difficult to turn. It's so bad that sometimes I cannot rotate it at all then have to take her out the regular way as if the function didn't exist. It ended up being a waste of money.

When I received the Emme 360 Rotating All-in-One Car Seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was very excited! I loved every idea of the rotation and ease of the seat! My littlest is almost 2 and still rear facing so I knew it would help so much. Again - I love everything about the idea of the seat and it's beautiful! The rotation is great and effortless. Getting my son in and out was super easy and just the slightly rotation helped so much. My son also seemed to be very comfortable within the seat. However the back pillow which must be used while rear facing was so awkward. I was constantly adjusting it. This won't be an issue when he is forward facing shortly. As for the longevity - I am apprehensive. I do not believe that it is going to last as long as a tradition car seat. I don't know for sure of course but I'm willing to see what happens when it's time to convert it going forward. Okay now the install - I hated it. The instructions were not 100% clear when it came to using the latching system but I figured it out. It's worth noting that this car seat is huge and heavy!! So installing it was a workout. When all was said and done, it even looked too big for the seat. I am driving a GMC Acadia so I have a decent size car. My husband cannot sit in front of the carseat very comfortably. Again I think this will be different once I turn it forward facing. I'm not 100% in love with everything about this car seat but there are some major pros! I'm excited to see if my experiment changes once I am able to turn my son forward!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat. Upon first look, this car seat blows you away by its very modern design. The install was extremely easy thanks to the step by step instructional video on the manufacturers website and the green/red indicator windows ensure confidence of a proper install. The car seat comes with many removable inserts to ensure a comfortable and snug fit no matter the size of the child. The only real complaint here is the shoulder pads are sewn on and not completely removable. Our toddler does complain about them. The car seat swivel fester is obviously he highlight feature of this design. It allows for an overall easy transition of kid to car and out again, especially for those who don't necessarily want to go for a ride and fight getting in. The swivel feature is activated by a handle at the base of the seat that then allows you to swivel it from rear facing to sideways to forward. I will say I find it a bit difficult to use though. I pull lever to would be easier in my opinion that the push/compress style they utilize. Overall we really love this car seat and are likely going to buy a second once our newborn is a bit bigger.
