Maxi-Cosi Pria Max All-in-One Convertible Car Seat

The Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One is a horrible, unsafe car seat. From the very first use, the strap that tightens the chest harness gets stuck, not allowing us to tighten the harness all the way, making the seat incredibly unsafe & really unable to be used. Additionally, the shoulder straps get twisted every single time which all parents know is super annoying. I reached out to Maxi Cosi customer service two months ago letting them know we were having this issue and I never heard back. Horrible customer service. We were unable to return this item since I received it as a baby shower gift and since this seat is generally for toddlers we didn't try it until our daughter was about 1 years old, which means the product is outside the return window. We cut our losses and ended up buying the Evenflo Revolve360 and we LOVE IT.

I have been using this car seat since November (2024)- so only a couple months, and my daughter loves it because it is very comfortable, cushiony, and spacious, HOWEVER, the fabric is pilling so horribly!! We keep our seat very clean and I take very good care of it, so I can’t understand how this seat is already starting to fall apart- especially so soon and at this price point! I was hoping to use it as my little one grows (she’s only 18 months) but I don’t even know if it’ll last that long. If the fabric was better quality, this would be a five star car seat, especially with the pure cosi fabric! So it is safe to say, I am disappointed! Pictures from our first day of use to today to show the poor fabric.

I’ve had this car seat for 4 years now and I am absolutely obsessed with it. My daughter is now 5 and we will be using it for another few years. I cannot recommend this car seat enough. Way better than the Nuna and Uppababy car seats. So easy to clean (I have the cream one) and so easy to install. She is comfortable in it on long car rides and it’s easy for me to get her in and out of the seat.

Have had it a few weeks and love everything about it so far! The magnetic chest clip is so satisfying. My son is 10 months, 22 lbs, and 30 in. He is always so comfy and sleeps so well in the car

I loved this car seat for the first year or so that we had it. Now, my 2.5 year old is constantly sliding her shoulders out of the straps. I am very particular about car seat safety and strapping her in properly. These straps have to be coming loose at some point after I put her in the car seat for this to happen. Every time I see that the straps are off, all I can think is that if we got in a car accident she would be dead!! Would not recommend this carseat for toddlers that are old enough to fidget. We invested in this to grow with her, but now have to purchase something different.

As grandparents we chose to have a car seat ourselves to make it easier to pick up our grandchildren as needed. Overall a good car seat, the finish on the plastic parts is weak. Where you have to reach to put a seatbelt or other securing parts be ready to scratch your hands on the sharp unfinished plastic.

This convertible car seat is really neat! It has two cup holders and has washable parts that can be removed easily to be washed. I like that it also has a button that you press to adjust the headrest and straps instead of having to pull in the belt itself. It seems very sturdy. It is both forwards and backward facing. My baby is 9 months now and I can see us using this car seat for a long time. It even came with the extra inserts for small infants. Had I known about this one I probably would have opted for this car seat first before getting my previous one.

The Pria Max 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is one of the simplest convertible car seats I have ever used! Installation was a breeze, the latch system was simple to use and the clips were easy to unbuckle as well. From the magnetic chest clip to the flip away buckles, this seat is one of a kind. It is extremely light weight compared to the competition. I sampled the product on both a 11 month old and a 3 year old. The straps were incredible easy to adjust when switching between the two children. The headrest was a little difficult but its all about the proper angle and leverage. I'm short with a big vehicle so I needed to stand on the side to get the head support raised. The one handed chest clip made exiting more convenient when trying to get two children out of the car. The fabric is incredible soft and comfortable. On top of that, spills were no problem at all! The fabric wipes away nicely. We have 2 dogs and a cat so pet hair is always following and it wiped away very easy as well. This is my favorite seat I have tried and I have purchased three other brands. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a convertible car seat. I will be purchasing a second one for use on my 3 year old! Really have no complaints. We have a competitor car seat in our SUV and this one in our sedan. It fit just fine in our smaller car and install was super easy. The material is a bulky, comfortable but bulky. My favorite part is definitely the ease of getting my 18 month old buckled in. The straps don't get in the way and the chest clip is effortless going in and getting out. I have only used it for a few weeks but so far no complaints and we are happy with it!

We absolutely love this car seat! It is comfortable for both of our children. Our very tall five year old likes to ride in it forward facing and our two year old was super comfortable in it rear facing! The seat meets all of our needs and on top of that it was super easy to install both forward and rear facing. We highly recommend this seat because it can be used with a little one and grow with them as they get bigger!

With this car seat, I haven't had any issues. We had an uppababy baby mesa that my daughter hated so we switched to a pria max 3 in 1 rear facing and that solved all of our car ride woes. We love it so much we bought a second for our son, who won't be born for another 4 months. Some reviews have suggested it's difficult to tighten, my only real complaint is size. It's wide, it's takes a lot of space rear facing. It only fits in the middle seat in the back of our 2019 Mazda CX-5. But most car seats don't fit in our vehicle. The uppababy Mesa was no different.

We love this seat. It's super comfortable and we joke it's like a little lazy boy for my toddler. Also, very safe and easy to install. My biggest complaint is that in less than a year the seat cover is wearing out where her feat touch. She's not super aggressive but does move her feet around. Disappointed it's not a heavier fabric that can withstand toddler life.

I was given the Pris Max 3 in 1 convertible carseat as part of the weeSpring parent panel. We are very happy with it. My daughter loves the cup holders and the seat is cushy without being too soft. I particularly like that the fabric is removable to wash. At first I really didn't like the magnetic chest buckle but quite like it now that I am used to it. I also like that the straps are easily adjusted even while the child is seated in the carseat. My daughter was able to maneuver herself out of the restraint straps when having a tantrum which I was not pleased by and she often wraps her foot on the outside of the seat which may be a function of the shape or cupholders but overall I like the seat.

The only thing nice about this car seat is its looks. As a mother it is extremely frustrating that I cannot physically put this car seat in myself and be able to get it in tight enough, my husband has to. It should not be so hard to get this car seat in tightly, we have washed the removable padding 2 times and it is extremely difficult to get the padding back on, the styrofoam head cushion underneath the padding has broke. You are very lucky to be able to get this car seat tightened passed a certain point, so not only is the car seat loose no matter what you do, the actual straps that buckle up around the child will not tighten properly. This car seat was not created to protect children. Don't waste your money just because it looks good.

I hate this car seat. It's a total pain to install tightly, the instruction manual is useless, it's a poor design, if you take off the cover or try to reassemble the straps good luck getting it back together correctly. There are no good videos online to clarify the bad instructions. Just.. do not recommend at all for this price. It matches my car so there's that but that's about the only good thing I can say.

Very comfortable but not safe in rear facing mode. Does not tighten as much as it should. Very loose when using the latch system and the seat belt. I love this car seat and wanted it to be safe, but I've decided to return it. As stylish and comfortable as it is, it's just not worth the risk of putting my child in danger with how loose it is. I bought it at Buy Buy Baby and will try to return it today.

This is my first time buying a convertible car seat for my first child. I purposely chose this car seat because it is the purecosi material without flame retardants. However, the seat has a very strong chemical smell. I left the seat outside to air out in the sun for multiple days and it's still strong. After installing in my car my entire car smells. In addition, the carseat arrived in a cardboard box without any wrapping or cardboard to protect it. It also took 17 days from my order date until it left the warehouse. My daughter has only used the seat twice so far, so I can't really say how I like it yet. I think the straps are more difficult to tighten and adjust than the nuna infant carseat we had, but it may just be because I'm not used to it. I don't think I would buy a maxicosi carseat again.

My husband and 1 1/2-year-old baby were in a head-on, high-impact collision coming home from work this past week. All airbags were deployed (even the ones on the sides of your seats i didn't know existed). Our baby was in the back in the Pria all in one car seat completely unharmed (scared but nothing more). I am so thankful for this car seat & will be purchasing another very soon.

I love this seat. My son is very comfortable in it. The main issue that I have is that I took the seat cover off and when I went to put it back on I couldn't remember how some parts went like the piece that holds the straps up. I looked everywhere online for a video of how to put the seat together and couldn't find it so now it isn't on at all and I feel like that was one of the main reasons I bought this seat. If anyone knows how to put it back on or has a video please send it to me.
