About the Book
When she discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her, Sydney, a 22-year-old college student, must decide what to do next, especially when she becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor Ridge.Book Synopsis
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance. At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her--and she's forced to decide what her next move should be. Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.Review Quotes

Well written, loved the change in perspective. Very captivating, regardless of opinions on the plot. I couldn't relate to the story, though. Ridge was forgiven constantly for his misogyny and Sydney got so much of the blame from all the other characters. It felt like we went back and forth from sympathizing with Ridge to hating him. It was too hard to get a read on his personality, and even in the end (spoilers ahead) he still says he would go back to Maggie but wants to be with Sydney. Too confusing. I understand Ridge was torn, but readers never got a solid conclusion. It seemed like he just went on to Sydney as kind of a second choice but we're not totally sure? I’d read the rest in the series as I love Colleen Hoover, but Ridge was so infuriating I can't! I felt like we had to sympathize with him, but honestly I couldn't.

This book has made me run through all the emotions I could possibly go through. I couldn’t put it down. I read the dang thing in a matter of hours. I love Colleen Hoover, my mom and I are huge fans but this is one of the best I’ve read from her in a long time.

Eh. This didn’t hook me from the start. But I pushed through. The middle was really good. There was definitely parts where I couldn’t put it down & other times where I was just so ready to be done with this book. I did love how different the people were from a lot of other books.
Maybe someday

Reading this book it feels like the characters are teenagers. It’s just a story of two people who can’t control their hormones.

I really enjoy the book itself, however once i finished page 276, it jumped back to page 229 again. Then if you keep turning the page past that point, at page the next time you get to page 276, it then jumps to page 325. So basically, my book skipped 50 pages right when it was about to get really intense. Pretty upset now that i can’t even finish the book because i was really getting into it.
Meh, colleen has done way better

This book is pretty boring. I had to force myself to finish it. However, i’m not big into music so if you have a passion for music/creativity you may enjoy it more than i did. The story was sweet though. I am curious about the next two books in the series but because this was so boring i’m not sure if i’m willing to give it a try.
