Fantastic, I use it in my beef stroganoff and shepherd’s pie recipes. Even my super picky eater kid likes it.

Please reduce the amount of Paprika. It's all I can taste. It makes my mouth burn. You can always add, but you can never take it away.

I always used to use this seasoning mix for my beef stew but I feel as if the recipe has changed and there is way too much pepper now. If I wanted to eat chili I would use the chili seasoning. This has become too spicy for me to use anymore.

I've used McCormick's seasoning for beef stew for decades. The trick is to use two packets, not just one, to one pound of beef and about 8- 10 cups of vegetables (potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, and mushrooms). I also use sirloin cut for stir fry, then cut it into smaller pieces, so it cooks much faster and is much more tender than the chuck usually recommended for beef stew. The whole thing is done in an hour.
SO bad.

There is something so "off" and weird about this beef stew seasoning. Beef is way too expensive to be wasted. So halfway through cooking I had to remove most of the liquid and replace it. Which is awful because much of the good flavor was lost, but the mccormick beef stew seasoning is so terrible I had no choice. Absolutely nasty chemical weird bitter flavor... extremely bad. Should not even be available for sale in stores.

I have used the original stew mix for many years. This new version is horrible. So bland. I had to doctor up the left overs. Should have just made it from scratch, but McCormick stew has always been my go-to. No more, Good things don't need toi change!
Not what I expected.

I read the ingredient panel, and I did not see anything included that would have made it as spicy as it was. My family said it was too spicy hot for them and didn't like it. I love spicy foods, and it was even a little too spicy for me.

Hi I used this seasoning in a vegetarian "beef" stew and it tastes great. The ingredient list looks like it doe not contain meat or dairy products, but I just want to confirm that it is indeed vegetarian. Thank you!

Bought a package of beef stew seasoning. Been using this seasoning for many years. Always delicious! New package must have new recipe inside. It's terrible! Nothing like the previous recipe. My husband wanted to know what I did to ruin his beef stew! Our motto here is "if it ain't broke ,don't fix it!" Please let me know when you decide to return to the old recipe.
Have used for years!

Has the packaging changed ? Or has the recipe changed as well? I am used to the red package with the navy blue banner. Thanks.
ok, but not great. thickeners are undesired.

I tried this as a shortcut rather than using my usual beef stew seasonings. it was really salty, but i more am questioning the addition of the corn and wheat gluten and xantham gum. They are completely unnecessary.
those, combined with the xantham gum also messed up the texture for refrigerated leftovers. I'm not planning to use this again.
please, just give us the spice mix and let us handle the salt and thickeners ourselves.

I have always purchased your stew seasoning - till now. You have gone to putting in dehydrated onions into your seasoning. YUK!! I make a large crock pot and had to take everything out and strain to remove the onions. Please go back to the powder. People can always add their onions if so desired. This is my first comment in 60 years.
