When suffering from many of these conditions, it's common to experience chronic pain in both hands interchangeably according to activities, environment and more. The universal, bilateral design fits the right or left thumb allowing user to change sides as needed. Dorsal, radial, and palmar stay pockets maximize thumb stabilization, support, and comfort. Each pocket contains a malleable aluminum stay and a flexible spiral stay that can be removed or shaped for desired support and custom fit. The aluminum stay helps abduct thumb in proper position. Easy-to-don, the user simply slides the thumb into the pre-formed spica and secures the brace with a single wraparound elastic strap. The wide, spandex wrist strap stretches around wrist to achieve even compression.
