Melissa & Doug Blues Clues & You! Blues Birthday Celebration Play Set

I bought this a week ago for my daughter she’s 3 and she ate all of the Velcro off the candles. I think it comes off way too easily and should be made better.

Huge shout out to Target for having this set at a reasonable price and shipping date! This was the perfect way for us to kick off my son’s 2nd birthday.

One star for cute Blues Clues theme but beware! The cupcakes are heavy weighted solid wood - think, wooden bricks... a kid can easily weaponize if so inclined lol I imagine hurt toes if dropped or broken furniture... cupcake liners are just paper, easily crushed. Placemat also just shiny paper easily ripped, and box to store things is flimsy cardboard. Knife is too thick to cut cake, same as the spatula, can't fit under cake to scoop out a piece. Cake and cake plate also very heavy wood; not practical for the intended age. If you have a fuzzy carpet, then it will stick to the cake and cupcake tops. Also certain clothing will catch on it. Icing frays after a few uses (theyre basically shoelaces). Icing tube (?) is nonsense. Sprinkle and decoration circles are fine but my kid didn't want to redecorate after doing it once, which is basically all you can do with the toy - redecorate again and again. Oh and the candles were so frustrating for my kid. They kept falling over and off the cake bc the flame makes them top-heavy. And the base is rounded so they don't stick well. "Sprinkle shaker" is a rainbow colored block of wood that I tried to add to my kid's blocks but is often rejected to the side. Bag is cute so I saved that but rest is packed away.

Lots of fun for my 2 yr old on her birthday as she was able to make up her own cupcakes to serve to all of us too.

This is such a fun set! My daughter puts the candles on and sings happy bithday. She loves the cupcakes best, I think she will get in to decorating the cake more when shes a little older (2yrs). Also Comes with a cute tote to hold all the peices.

I Bought This For My 2 Year Old Birthday And It Is Even More Adorable In Person. It Kept The Attention Of Her And My 5 Year Old For A Long Time. At 2 She Was Unable To Do The Piping Bag Part, But Had Just As Much Fun Just Using Her Hands To Put The String Foresting On. Melissa And Doug Once Again Did Not Disappoint!

This is the cutest kitchen toy we have had and I’ve had them all after 4 kids! It’s very well made like all M&D toys and the kids really can get creative with all the ways to play with it. My older kids even love playing with it, decorating the cake and cupcakes is a hit.

So Cute. Got My 2.5 Year Old This And She Loved It. She Played With It More Than She Has Anything Else She Got For Christmas. The Only Thing I Would Change Is I Wish The Placemat Was A Litttle Thicker. Not A Biggie, But Would Be Better.

Wonderful 1st Birthday gift that was Blue's Clues themed. Big brother even helped show his sister how to play with it. When the package arrived early, older brother was so excited. It was not easy for him to wait for the birthday party. Well made and very nice.

They let their imaginations run wild and making parties for their dolls and stuffed animals and occasionally each other and also like to invite their friends to play with them. There is plenty of pieces so they can all play and be involved. This is a great set that will last probably many more kids than mine. This birthday party play set is another winner. Large, heavy, and sturdy, this one will keep your kids busy for hours of imaginative play. It's absolutely fantastic. Many creative pieces, tremendous play potential. I highly recommend it!

This has to be one of the most creative toys I have seen for my kids who are 6 and 4 years old. (Boy and Girl). They both loved it! The idea of having Velcro cupcakes and cakes was perfect to allow each of them to play and take turns designing their pastry's! Using the tool and braided thread was brilliant for icing! I totally enjoyed watching and playing with my kids with this playset and highly recommend this to anyone!

I do wish the cupcake liners were not just paper material because they are easily damaged. I also wish it came with a better way to store everything. Overall, I definitely recommend this toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blue Clues Birthday Party Playset has been an absolute hit at my house! My kids are ages 3, 5, and 7. Each kid has had so much fun with this playset (and even fought over a little). It's very well made with a sturdy wood. The paint is smooth and glossy and does not chip easily. All pieces are sized in a way to ensure little hands can grab them with ease. Most pieces Velcro together and each topping Velcro's down so that your design stays in place no matter how you choose to decorate. The kids are able to pick up the cake and sing happy birthday without everything falling apart and this is super important to ensure no meltdowns. I love how it comes with a bag so afterwards you can pack everything up and put it away. Doesn't take up a lot of room and very versatile in ways to play. It's a 10/10 for me. Highly recommend!

In fact, my grandkids show up expecting a party most visits now. That made this set perfect for us. I told them it was Blue's birthday and they were excited right away. We had real treats while we played and that made it even more fun. They really enjoyed this party set. It's made well, like all Doug and Melissa toys. You decorate with strings, something I would never think of. They loved it. It includes everything you need to decorate/serve cupcakes and a cake. You even get pretend sprinkles. When you're finished, there's an adorable bag to store everything in, a big plus in grandma's book. We had a lot of fun at our party. I'm sure you and your bunch will too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old is so unbelievably happy with this Blue's Clues and You Birthday Party Set. It came with so much stuff and even have the cutest cloth reusable bag for everything. It came with wooden cake pieces in 4 equal parts, 2 cupcakes, cupcake paper holders, a cupcake tray, a cake tray, a wooden spatula, 4 wooden candles, strings for decor like frosting and 8 wood round pieces for decor and a place mat. It also came with a Birthday card type book with directions and a game card. So much in this set. She has been playing for an hour with it. It all has velcro on it to hold the pieces together and attach the candles and decor pieces to the cake and cupcakes. She seriously loves it. She also is a big fan of Blue's Clues. This is the best set ever. So fun and so cute. Definitely Definitely recommend. We did get to try this for free but the opinions here are based on our own experiences.
