Melissa & Doug Blues Clues & You! Rainbow Stacker Puzzle

Can be use in so many ways so far so good. I rotate these so they’re exited every time I bring it out.

It is pretty widely known that you need to sand Melissa and Doug toys with an emery board before handing them to your child, but this is one you really need to pay attention to. The edges of each piece of the rainbow are very sharp and almost unfinished. The house I received already had missing paint - it seems like the shrink wrap was applied while the paint was still tacky. When I did sand the edges, paint came off. I would not give this to any child under 3/4 years old, and certainly not without sanding it first. Once its smoothed out, it is a great toy. My 3 year old loves to stack and make different spiral shapes with the curves.

I love M&D- but this puzzle seems to chip/lose paint easily

Received this as a gift. Upon opening from sealed plastic, two of the rainbow layers are already peeling as well as Blue. Definitely will not last long with my 15 month old who loves to chew. My daughter does love this puzzle though; just not sure how long it will last.

Although my infant enjoys holding the rainbow pieces and watching me play with it, it’s poor quality for the price. Everything was sealed in plastic but upon opening several of the rainbow layers were chipped and missing the paint. This is the second Melissa and Doug product that I recently purchased that was poo quality for the price point.

There are so many ways to use this puzzle! Horizontal & vertical, alternating the 'bows' using every other one. My 2 & 4 year old grandkids were all about this one as soon as we opened it! I might need a second one! The character pieces are made to sit on the rainbows. Excellent balancing act!

The Wooden Rainbow was fantastic! The grandchild played it immediately and played with it along time.

He loved trying to stack the rainbow up high and putting the rainbow back together on the board when he was all done. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3.5 year old was initially excited about this because she is a puzzle maniac. Putting puzzles together is her second favorite thing next to dinosaurs (specifically the mighty pachycephalosaurs.) So when she caught a glimpse of this, she was fully on board. I presented this to her in a disassembled fashion and she quickly put it together in under two minutes. Then we looked at each other blankly as if to say, in the immortal words of Peggy Lee, "is that all there is?" So, I turned it over and dumped it on the rug and scrambled it again. Sixty seconds later and it was re-assembled with zero difficulty. Her nonplused expression in the accompanying photo says it all. Then we put it away and that was that. However, she then wanted to watch Blue's Clues which we did for the net hour, meaning the branding was a success even though the puzzle was a dud. I think the under-two crowd would truly get a kick out of this, but for kids of a potty-trained age range it is a little too basic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids just loving it. It is for 18+ month but my 7 years old thoroughly enjoy with my 10 month old. They both played together, the elder one stack it up and my lil one come and messed it then trying to stack as his brother do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 19 month old daughter absolutely loves this set!! It is high quality and wooden, super sturdy and durable, and the colors are bright. It's great for educational, and sensory play. It has 3 large, easy to handle pieces, 2 of the dogs from Blue's Clues and the house. It is easy to put into place, and a great 1st puzzle for learning how to do them. Then it has the rainbow stacking pieces. You can stack them in so many different ways because they are so sturdy, and it allows space on the board for you to use it as a building table. My daughter is obsessed with this toy, I have not only been teaching her how to stack and use hand eye coordination, I have been teaching her the colors of the rainbow, and I have been teaching her how to do puzzles. This is an excellent toy and I highly recommend it. Melissa and Doug is such an amazing brand and they have created another amazing product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I am an M&D fan from the start. I love their high-quality wooden toys that don't break easily. They require some minor maintenance but I have 3 kids between 2.5 and 1.5 years. Everything they own gets handled roughly. So minor maintenance means just making sure things are clean and didn't break, which M&D stuff rarely does. The rainbow is SO cute. The kids will take 1 arch each and call it their x colored banana or phone. They stack it back or play with it in other ways. The toys are very well made.
