The Melissa & Doug Wooden Chocolate Factory Play Set lets kids create imaginative filled play chocolate candies with durable plastic tops and bottoms and colorful wooden fillings that can be decorated with stickers. Flip switches to indicate flavors, move the slider across a conveyor area, press a lever to drop fillings into bases, and turn the dial to drop on the tops! Completed play candies slide down a chute, where kids three and older can pretend to decorate with a pretend icing squeeze tube. Display in a fancy gift box and pay for purchases with play money. Mix and match six bases, six tops, and six fillings, for countless creative combinations. Great for color matching, counting, and developing language skills through cooperative play. Me personally I like that it helps show the kids how to do things in order and the numbers and colors. My kids also like learning about money, The only downside is how the blocks get stuck when trying to build the chocolate.

They have recently been into playing different variations of "store/restaurant" so this came in perfect timing! The pieces are cute and durable, luckily even the signage is plastic so it's not going to bend and easily ruin - the play money not so much but that's not a huge deal, we have tons of that lol. They spend hours playing with it, and taking turns (arguing) over who gets to take the orders, make them, or be the customer lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start by saying we USUALLY love this brand! We own a lot of their items, but this Chocolate Factory set was not up to par. The craftsmanship was lacking with chipped/missing paint, poor design transfer on some of the products and overall use ability with the lever to drop the filling in. My 3yo grew bored of it pretty quickly and it offered little to the imagination for other ways to play with it. I didn’t find an educational benefit, unlike other toys from this brand. Unfortunately this toy was a miss for us, but it won’t discourage me from buying from the brand again in the future.

She had fun pushing all the different buttons and switches, making different combinations of chocolates and pretending to eat her creations. It was very simple to assemble and incredibly user friendly for little ones!

It is made of wood, very sturdy, and beautifully decorated. It is fun for my daughter to assemble all the different chocolate options and is very proud to show off how to follow the steps to make it. Best of all, it is chocolate themed! Like all Melissa and Doug toys, I love how interactive it is and an excellent opportunity for her to use her imagination.

Also loves playing cashier, so the money is nice. The colors are vibrant and attractive, comes 90% assembled, feels well-built. Pieces are large enough it’s not a risk around smaller children.
