Please note the two different type "A" tracks in the picture. That is from the set of instructions provided. There is no way to make the set a figure 8. It's frustrating enough that every item (puzzles, puppets, etc) that we've purchased from Melissa and Dave is dented or damaged in some way, but pulling this out on Christmas Eve to set up for Christmas morning has just ensured that this is the last M&D purchase we'll make.

I bought this set to expand a smaller set I already owned. The pieces all fit well together and they seem to be good quality. My kids really enjoy playing with it, they especially love the bridge.

The tracks are great, a perfect fit with another popular brand. Kiddo loves the little stopper piece and the bridge. The magnets on the train and coal car a noticeably weaker than our other set. But that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Excited to give this to my son. Looks to be great quality and he it is simple enough for my 2 year old to not be overwhelmed. He loves trains, but I did not want a track that takes a lot of work to set up correctly or that takes up a huge amount of storage space!

My son loves Trains!! He is six years old and has a collection of trains and wooden tracks... He really wanted to make a figure eight track, I found this set and purchased it for him. This set comes in a nice box good for gift giving. The set also comes with a wooden train. These wooden tracks, the kids love... the are easy for a child to put together and it helps with their imagination they can create any type of train track layout

The Melissa and Doug train set was sturdy and strong. The Chuggington and Thomas trains both fit perfectly on the tracks. However, the Chuggington trains (specifically Wilson and Koko) did not fit under the bridge. Unfortunately I had to return the train tracks. I would recommend the train tracks as long as you aren't using Chuggington wooden trains.
