Melissa & Doug PAW Patrol Wooden Take-Along Spy, Find & Rescue Play Set

Our three year old nephew adored this game and thoroughly enjoyed saving animals with the helicopter hooks. I couldn’t get over how cool the booklet and flashlight included game was, and just wish there were more images! There really weren’t any instructions, but that didn’t stop us, and I’d highly recommend if you want to be the fun aunt and uncle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was a hit with our 2.5 year old! The fold out game board makes for super convenient storage, which this mama truly appreciates. No board game box falling apart after a few uses! Our son loved the fishing rod hooks and did really well with his gross motor skills to grab hold of the pieces to rescue them. The flashlight finder flip book was also fun. Overall, a great little game to play with the littles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 almost 5 year old son is a little rough when it comes to games and it's pieces haha. So this is an awesome thing to get used to playing older games/board games. I love how it's made out of wood so it isn't too easy to break and I loveeee how everything comes stored inside. The little flashlight book is by far my favorite lol, it's probably the coolest, yet easiest idea to keep a child happy and content. He also plays with his older sister and he loves being able to play hands on and know what to do without being told. Thank you so much BzzAgent for sending this to my son and I to review. It will forever be one of his favorite toys/games (:

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun learning toy for my kids not only because it gets them learning and doing things they wouldn't normally do but also because it's a show that they both know and love. I think being able to choose their favorite of certain characters gets their brains going, like what would Skye or Chase do. It was fun to watch my kids play but also help them when they needed it. I'm glad such a game exists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the game was super cute and loved how everything fits inside the wooden case. Anything that has its own storage is a win in my book. My 2 and 4 year olds were excited and ready to play. We read the instructions and thought they could have given clearer instructions for the board game. We played the game quickly and my kids ended up just playing with the helicopters, picking up random items around the house. The activity book was cool, but I am sure I was more impressed than the kids. They played with it for a little and it ended up being put to the side. Overall, it is great for younger kids but not something they would play with for long periods of time.

My son is really into helicopters so the fact that he was able to use one to hook up the objects to find was a blast for him. The little badges were so cute and the kids like wearing them around even when they aren't playing the game. As a mom, I love the fact that you can put all the pieces into the wooden storage game board to keep things all together. It was also nice because the kids were able to easily bring the game to their grandparents house to show them their new game! I have always loved Melissa and Doug toys and they are great quality! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this toy. It comes with the search and find game and a small search and find activity booklet. The game itself is fun for my 3 year old. She loves rescuing the animals with the helicopter hook. It's great for developing hand- eye coordination! However, I do wish there was a more mentally stimulating element to the game, such as needing to move a piece around the board and landing on animals to rescue. Then you could practice counting as well. I liked how all of the pieces fit within the game board itself. As for the activity booklet, my daughter enjoyed it as well and it was easy for her to play by herself. The booklet is small and easy to pack into a diaper bag. However, I wish there was a pocket that the flashlight could be stored in so it doesn't get lost. Overall, I think this game is worth it, but it could use a few tweaks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive the Melissa & Doug Paw Patrol 2 Spy, Find, & Rescue right before going on a trip with my niece and nephew as they love Paw Patrol and would be excited to play with my 3 year old. My first impression of the item was confusion. There were no real directions as to HOW to play or the different pieces; it seemed to be a more informal -"look at all the different ways to use your imagination!" which is fine if you're not explaining to (very literal) kids what to do. I made up a way to play it and it went ok, except that the game seems to be designed for 2 players based on the score card. I drew an extra column to use for the 3rd child (after having to find a dry erase marker because one did not come with the game). After we played my "made up" version, the boys enjoyed picking up pieces with the rescue copters to see how many they could capture at once. Meanwhile, my niece played with the search and find book. She thought it was pretty cool but it didn't keep the boys' attention/interest to engage them. Overall, they played with it for maybe 20 minutes and even though I left it on the table throughout our trip, no one ever asked to play with it again. My 3 year old has still not asked to play with it again either. It's definitely not the best of Melissa & Doug in my experience. We buy a lot of Melissa & Doug and find it to be better quality and long lasting, in terms of longevity and also interest of children. But this fell flat. Perhaps some of the imagination games spelled out would've made it more fun instead of us having to guess how to play.

So happy to have received it to review. Will last a long time because everything is made of highly durable material. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a fan of Paw Patrol, my daughter was excited when she saw Melissa & Doug Paw Patrol 2 Spy, Find, & Rescue. The wooden pieces and box are of great quality and easily portable. However, I found the instructions a bit complicated for 3 years old.

My son and I played together to rescue the animals with the help of the Flashlight Finder Pup Pad and the helicopters. We had fun. He loves the badge. The wooden take-along case is great for packing everything up. However, the latch on the wooden case does not work. There is not a lot of ways to play so it does get boring after a few times. It is best suited for young toddlers.

I like that the board and pieces are made of wood and the board folds up and you can store the pieces inside, that was a big plus to keep the pieces together. There are multiple ways to play. My kids liked using the flashlight on the pup pad. They also liked to use the rescue planes to pick up the pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wooden pieces and box are very good quality. The latch on the box did not latch though. There was no tension on the latch so it doesn't stay shut. My son quickly became bored of the game and just used the helicopters to pick up his car toys. He didn't seem interested in the spy and find book. I personally thought it was fun and a clever toy because I haven't seen a toy like that before. Overall, I would purchase the book again in the future if it were sold separately.
